Easy use for a perfect fit!
I used this splinting material to make the perfect splint for a torn finger pulley. Prior to using it I tried Oval-8 splints as well as Pulley Pals. The Oval-8 were not right for my condition and made it worse. The Pulley Pals stretched and came off so I lost them constantly. The splint I made with Cedarburg 64669 Rolyan Splinting Material has been perfect. My condition is almost better and the finger Dr. is very impressed. It was really easy to a mold into the perfect shape. It is a great value for the cost. I highly recommend it for doctors or patients who need to mold a splint.

Exactly what I wanted at 20% of the price from a medical supply site
Used this product to custom make a splint for a sprained joint. Easy to work with and mold. It is rigid, but still has a little flex to it. Was the EXACT same product that sold for 5X the price on a medical supply website and received it next day. Another win for Amazon.

Difficult to cut
Perhaps I should have bought thinner material, but this thickness is difficult to cut. I had to use tin snips as scissors wouldn't work. I had rough edges, but they become soft and moldable after being in hot water. This is an interesting material in that you can mold it while soft (to some degree - its not clay) and not just bend into different shapes. If not careful you will leave fingerprints in the final products. With its strength and rigidity, I could see it being useful for making repairs around the house.

Love this stuff...great for the medical field and just as good for hobbies
I've used this stuff in Physical Therapy for almost 15 years no I use it for my hobbies...you can use either hot water(almost boiling) or a heat gun with this stuff...it is slightly tacky when warm so it does stick to its self easily...when it's warm it is very flexible and cuts easily but is slightly flexible when cold

great quality
high quality material and very easy to mold. It is wonderful to be able to purchase this by the piece, usually only available in large amounts.

Too small
Too small , I haven't used it yet. I hope they'll make the product's size a little larger than my personal. Tablet

Change shape with hot water
This material changes shape with heat (not fire, just warm water). I know one of the ways to do so is to put it in warm/hot water, then it can be cut and/or molded to what you are trying to do but you have to be super careful because obviously the material would be hot and you can severely burn yourself. I'd leave that to the professionals. I didn't pay attention and ordered the wrong size, however the sheet they sent me seemed to be of good quality and was clean.

Exactly the same product the hospitals use
This stuff is magic. My girl got a nose job and they sent her home with some of this over the nose. She was instructed to leave it on the first few weeks and tape it on at night afterwards to help with shape, healing and protection. Well somehow she lost it... Legit, no idea where it ended up in the house. We were going to go back to the hospital but figured we could find it online. We were shocked to find this stuff is generally EXTREMELY expensive at most all online retailers! Just about every business charges hundreds for small sheets of this stuff. Fortunately we stumbled across it here and it's the same stuff for a good (very reasonable) price. I trimmed a section to fit the nose area, boiled some water, held it in there with tongs until it went floppy ????, then removed it, shook it off, made sure it wasn't so hot that it was going to burn her nose (it wasn't), held it in place and formed it with my fingers, then waited 15 or so seconds for it to cool off. Perfect! This is just what we were looking for. Thanks!
