Well made

This is a beautiful lampshade, very nice and excellent quality. Well packed for shipping. Make sure that it has the correct fitting that fits your lamp. There are different sizes that make the lampshade sit higher or lower.

Had to adjust the fit

Not a perfect fit, as the ring was slightly larger than the one on the replaced shade. Made it work by removing the old ring and resting the new shade’s ring over it. Be sure to check ring dimensions.

Good Shade

I purchased this lamp shade as a replacement on an antique reading lamp we inherited from my husband's family. I was looking for a small shade that would not hinder the movement of the the directional lamp. This shade works quite well. It is a fairly thick fabric shade and very well made.

Poorly cut socket threads

Seems to be well made overall. Unfortunately the threads for the socket were poorly done in the one I received. Not what I would have expected for a $40+ shade.

Elegant uplift for lamp

This is truly a quality lampshade- well worth the money. It is made with fine materials, from the fabric of the shade to the trim ribbon/cording. It is one of the few that will work with the lamp I have, and I feel it is elegant and makes the lamp, my favorite, look even better.

Nice quality

I hadn't noticed how shabby my lampshades were, and how they made the whole living room seem a little dumpy. These shades were a splurge, but they are very nice quality, and definitely helped spruce up the room.

OK but not a perfect fit.

It works, but if remember correctly, the hardware is deeper in compared to the shade used for it about 50 yrs ago. The rim of the shade touches the wooden arm support. Perhaps they don't make them like that anymore.

It doesn't do what it advertised.

I have an antique pole lamp with the light facing down. You have to have a threaded socket and lamp shade. I bought the royal design lamp shade that was supposed to screw on to a threaded socket. It would not screw on to a standard threaded socket and would not thread on to a more expensive threaded socket I also bought from Amazon. This is type of lampshade cannot be found in any store. It was expensive. It was very disappointing. I would not buy this product again.

Lightbulb pokes out above the shade

Standard lightbulb pokes out above the shade. The shade design isn't compatible with regular bulbs. Shade is lovely, but I don't want to hunt around to buy bulbs to fit it.
