Good for Halloween & maybe some extra playtime
I bought this for my 5 year old son about 2 weeks ago for 2010 Halloween and he loves it! Mom to son; if it makes him happy, it makes me happy. Mom to mom; will work for Halloween and maybe some playtime fun for a short while after but I don't expect it to last too long. The material is very thin and since we live in NH, he will be wearing it over his nice warm jammies (which we're used to because for some reason, manufacturers assume that EVERYONE lives in year round 90 degree weather!). One thing that I was very surprised confused and not happy about is that the hood is not attached to the shirt. That doesn't make any sense to me. All the ties are fine, but since they are not attached (loose pieces of fabric) I will tie them above his knees and elbows in double knots so they don't slip (although I'm Pretty sure I will have to re-tie at least one strip, one time before our Trick-or-Treat night is over). I ordered my son a small, he is an average sized 5 year old boy (46lbs; 44") and it fits well (over his long underwear). Over all, the price fits this product well (I wouldn't pay more for it) and it made my son very happy.

Kid loved...momdisappointed
My 6 1/2 year son loved this costume!! Mom, on the other hand...not so much. The material is very thin and cheap. The first time I ordered, it was missing one of the black bands. The replacement I ordered, had an extra one - go figure! One warning - The hood/face part is NOT AT ALL like the picture! It is not attached, like it looks. It is a cheap Velcro, red cone shaped material that is very loosely fit. Then you have to tie the black sash around the face (which does not stay in place). Again - my son thought he was "cool" and had a blast being a Ninja for Halloween. I just wish they would make a better quality and have it look exactly like the picture.

You Get What You Pay For
I have to say that this is a value paying under ten dollars. I'm glad I didn't pay much more though. My son is 5 and absolutely LOVES this costume. He normally wears a size 5 and he's on the small side for his age but I bought him a medium thinking I wanted enough room to wear clothes underneath since it can be cold in Wisconsin and we sometimes need to bundle them up. I really could have gotten him a small. That's ok though...he'll wear it to play ninja even once Halloween is over. (I just wish the legs dragging on the ground didn't pick up so much dog hair - but that's my own problem!) The waist is elastic so it stays up on him just fine. The legs are just way too long. (The arms fit just fine though!) Easily resolved by just folding the leg up and using one of the many black ties to hold the fold in place (or with a rubber band). Our biggest complaint with this costume are the hood piece and the scarf that cover the mouth. The hood piece is not attached as it appears in the picture. It is a separate piece and stays on just ok. The biggest pain is the scarf piece that (is supposed to) cover the mouth. This thing will not stay in place for more than a few minutes no matter what I do. Or maybe this isn't the mouth piece and it's just yet another black tie as I see in many of the reviews that the mouth piece is missing? Being in Wisconsin, I plan to go out and find a black winter hat that has the face mask and put that under the red hood. Often times the kids are cold for trick or treating so it may just help to keep him warm. Course my luck it will be 70 degrees this year! Once you get the whole costume put together, it is cute and it's definitely worth the price if you pay ten dollars or less. I just find the hood and face mask frustrating.

Made a great Ninjago costume
This costume was great for a ninjago outfit. My wife paired it with swords that attached to the back and it looked great, plus my son was happy. We used it for one occassion and then it went into the kids costume bin. Im glad to say, it is still looking good and getting plenty of use. As to be expected
This costume is not that well made. It is a bit cheaper looking than the picture leads you to believe, but I bought it on sale for under 10 dollars so I can't complain. It was purchased for Halloween, he will wear it for that occasion and anytime it lasts past that will be an added bonus. My son is super excited about it so that's all that I can ask. It seems to run true to size (says the small is for 4-6) my son is almost 5 and in fits him very nicely. He is very slim and slightly above average in height and I was able to put it on comfortably over his normal clothes.

Boys Red Ninja costume
On my first review, I said that I had to replace the hood because on the picture it looked attached to the shirt. However, it was a separate piece and was too short, therefore I gave the company an 'Ok' rating. They contacted me immediately, and asked if they could refund my money, or pay the amount I paid for the new hood I bought, in order to make me happy! I said it was okay, and that the amount for the new hood was only $5. I was very impressed with this company and their concern with my happiness. They gave me a credit for the $5! I would definitely order again from them!!

Already had a hole
Gave this as a birthday present for my daughter. She is having a ninja party on Sunday and is looking forward to wearing this outfit. Super bummed it has a hole straight out of the package. I do not have time to mail it back as I do not want to be left without her costume for her birthday party.

The hood is not connected to the shirt- cheap quality
7yr old son loves it, only spent $20 but fabric is very thin and biggest complaint the hood isn’t connected to shirt, making it look very cheap. Get what u pay for- my son is thin/small wears mostly small tops, sz 8 pants- for length, ordered a medium fits well.

The costume comes without the sword.
My kid was allowed to choose a gift for his good behaviour, so he asked for "red-ninja" costume. This costume was the closest to his wish. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with any ninja weapon, despite what you see on the image, so I had to find the solution in the dollar-store. The synthetic material of the costume and the black bands is cheap and started to shred threads almost immediately. The sewing work is not the finest. The black bands are not attached to the costume, same for the face-covering band. The skull image on the chest is peeling here an there. I paid less than twenty bucks for the costume, so let's say the price reflects the quality. I'm giving four stars because I didn't expect anything top-notch, so I was not disappointed. And the fine print says that my kid is happy with this costume, so at the end, that's all, that matter.

Yes this is make of cheap material but that did not bother my 5 year old. He rocked it on Halloween night and it fit perfectly over his snow suit
