They work just fine. Make sure you don't install them upside down or the line will keep popping out while you're trolling. My mate did this and complained. Then I went downstairs to inspect/tighten them, and said, "You installed them upside down." It happens. They worked flawlessly afterward. Shocker.

Good Product, but Pricey

Used these for flatlines off the stern of my boat. Other non-adjustable ones only work on limited weight and speed flatlines.......heavier lures, or higher speed trolling will release the line instead of a fish hitting the lure. Well made and versatile.....can be used on flatlines, outriggers and down riggers.

Keep it simple . .

When it comes to outrigger clips, simpler is better. Forget those fancy roller versions. Just a simple, adjustable release clip is much easier to use and keep using.
