Good Support
My husband had gout and infection in his elbow. This caused an old injury to his elbow to cause him constant pain. His doctor gave him a set of elbow/heel protectors and they were helpful. When those got lost, I found this on Amazon for a significant savings than going directly to the mfg. site. He says they are more comfortable than what he had before.

Work great, wish openings were larger
I use these with Vaseline for some very dry areas of skin that are cracking on my elbows on my feet. Of all the things I have looked at, they were best for my elbow, despite that I believe they are made for ankles. They are the largest side and there is not an opening large enough for my arm or lower leg and I’m a 5’4” female. I gradually have to stretch it out. The Vaseline does break down the padding inside the sleeve and you eventually have a harder spot inside the sleeve. If the place you are trying to soften is not sore, or you don’t have to put pressure through it, you could still continue to use it with Vaseline, or whatever you want to moisturize said area with. I’m sure eventually need to replace them one day, but they are the best thing I have found so far for my purpose. Good luck! I hope this info helps. Feel free to write me if you feel I can help answer a question.:

Some Drawbacks, but Works
My occupational therapist recommended these sleeves to me to keep the cool get on my elbow. She said that I told me to keep them in the freezer, which I do. My only quibble with them is that you cannot remove the gel pack easily. When I brought it in to make sure I got the correct one, she offered to show me how to take the gel out (she'd never tried doing that) and she couldn't get it out easily either. I end up just sticking the whole sleeve in the freezer. If you need cold gel to be held in place over an injury , I'd recommend but know in advance that you cannot remove the gel pack easily to make it smaller in the freezer.

Size is not accurate
Had to have elbow sleeve per my doctor. She suggested get the XL size since that should not be binding. The XL sleeve that I received was definitely not the XL size that was advertised.

Its a Sock with a Pad
Its a Sock with a Pad - that is way too tight. It certainly does not fit the intended fellow. The intended use is for an elderly fellow who can NOT have tight restrictions on his limbs which could restrict his blood flow. But this sock with a pad is WAY TOO TIGHT - almost as tight as when you get a Blood Pressure test. Returning it

IF ONLY THERE WAS A ZERO RATING! THIS WOULD BE IT.
I HAD A PAIR OF THESE THAT LASTED ALMOST 3 YEARS. THESE ARE AN INFERIOR PRODUCT THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. NOT ONLY IS THE SLEEVE STARTING TO UNRAVEL, BUT THE GEL PAD COVER BURST AND ALL THE GEL CAME OUT. IT IS ALSO STARTING TO PILL. IT HAS BEEN ONLY A WEEK AND A HALF SINCE I RECEIVED THEM. IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
