Work great! Nice and smooth!

Love these. Wish I had more colors but other than that they are super smooth when using. Dry pretty quickly. No complaints at all. Great brand.

Better than the fluorescent ones!

I enjoyed these more than the fluorescent colors. These also came in a convenient clear pouch which makes it easy to store- especially if you have a ton of coloring utensils like me!) A nice range of colors are included. And they do hold up to their “shiny” metallic name. One turn off for me is the pen body (the plastic) is a different shade than what the ink comes out to be. The ink is significantly darker than the almost “pastel” colored look of the pen body. I use these primarily for adult coloring and I'm happy with the way the ink flows smoothly onto the paper. I didn't notice the streaking/leaking like I did with the fluorescent pack. They roll very nicely onto the page. They are good for small spaces and details, I wouldn't use these to color in large areas as you might experience some streaking or blank spots then. I didn't notice any smearing with these so I was very happy there. I also tried these out on scrapbook writing. I was a little disappointed there as it's harder to see the color and even more- the metallic aspect of it. The colors don't seem to have much variant in shade when writing on black paper. As a side note, if you are writing on white or light colored paper- they look really nice! Easy to write with as they dry quick so you don't have to worry about smearing while you're working. Since I'm using these primarily for adult coloring, overall I am very happy with them. I don't usually color or write on black paper so I think this brand will hold up well. I would purchase these again and would recommend to friends and family.

UPDATE 9-10-19: Recommended for children

These Sargent Art 22-1500, 10 count Metallic Gel Pens are the best ones I have tried yet! Smooth flow, without those burps of color coming out of the point too fast and ruining my work. The simple action of wiping the tip before and after using the pens keeps them clean. Nice color! These colors are not as garish as some other gel pens I have purchased. There are no mistaking what color to expect out of the pen either. Lay your pens horizontally! First time I have even been instructed on the best way to store pens before. This makes a huge difference in how these pens work vs other pens. Drying time seems minimal compared to other gel pens. I have found that I am able to begin working directly against a fresh color within 2-3 minutes drying time. Larger areas will require more time to dry, but on small flowers, animals, stain glass type, these are perfect. HOWEVER, as with other gel pens, writing on glossy surfaces will require a LONG drying time! I'm talking 24+ hours! Other gel pens still smear on glossy surfaces after this time, but Sargent Art Gel Pens seem to do much better with a 24 hour drying time on these surfaces. Sargent Art 22-1500, 10 count Metallic Gel Pens would be suitable for scrapbooking, coloring, and everyday use for excitement. I would not recommend them for young children (under the age of 8) These are ball point pens, not fine point.

These pens are (almost) perfect !

These pens are (almost) perfect! They aren't scratchy at all the ink flows nicely & they write very smooth. The metallic colors are beautiful & vibrant. Perfect choice of colors for only having 10 to chose from. Although I do wish there was a orange color but its not to big a deal. The only thing I have to say that I didn't like was most of the colors skipped but after some scribbling the ink was flowing again. All & all I love these pens & I will be purchasing again!

Even the package they come in is cool!

These are my first gel pens for artistic use -- I figured if I was going to use a gel pen I might as well get metallic colors! I used them for the first time last night on a mostly finished drawing done in markers and a few pencils, boy did these shine in the light! I was hoping that they would make good highlighters and I think I was on the money. Silver and gold streaks in my lion's mane looked awesome. The best tip I've read about using any gel pen is to hold the pen lightly and let the ink flow, don't push down. It seems like good advise, these certainly worked better when I held them lightly. I might end up getting a set of "regular" gel pens I like these so much. Yeah, I'm keeping them in the case they came in, it snaps shut, and is very compact, best of all--there's no wasted packaging--win/win.

Really handy little pack of 10 with good storage case to keep them in!

These are very nice for the reasonable price I paid for them on Amazon. They are not unlike the usual assortment you fine in most gel pen sets. What I like about these is when you want to do something with only the metallic pens you can just grab this small packet of 10 colors rather than having to get out a larger set and rummage around for the metallic colors. So they are both handy to have on hand and have a very nice color application. The little storage case they come in is sturdy and the pens come out & go back in easily.

Favorite Gel Pens

These are my favorite gel pens. The writing is smooth and the ink does not smear or need time to "dry". Also, you can leave them around with the cap off and they don't dry out like some others. I only wish they lasted longer. I can go thru an entire pack inside of a month just using them daily for work and home notes.

Pens aren't filled.

I ran out of ink before I was finished with my cards. I only had a dozen to do with a very simple design. It was then I noticed the pens were only filled just below the half way point. Very disappointing.

HANDSDOWN the BEST! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been an artist for over 35+ yrs and use a huge variety of mediums depending on the project. For adult coloring I prefer to use marker's. (For my list of Pro's please read to the end.) It wasn't long before I realized that using some metallic color's would make my artwork pop. I am used to fantastic working art supplies costing a lot so I purchased the Metallic Pencils by Derwent (to also go with my Derwent collection) which cost me $60+ for 10. Didn't care for those. Being Crayola has been around forever, I bought their 8pk of Metallic marker's. They work great but they don't last. I have also tried other brand's from expensive to pocket friendly. I forget why these showed up as recommendations the other day. I'm guilty of equating low price means poor quality especially when it comes to art supplies. But I'm a penny pitcher all the same. All that being said, I am SO happy I gave these a chance! I love them them and will definitely be buying more. Pro's: ~Beautiful color pigment ~Lay down color extremely well ~Are comfortable to use (I'm a lefty so this pro is important) ~Budget friendly ~Hi performance/quality ~PERFECT for adult coloring and for jazzing up your pictures ~Great to use for helping make anything in writing next level! (Due to the fine/precise tip.) ~Haven't experienced any bleeding My only negative which is more of a wish, is that rather than having to buy all 3 sets separately that there was an option to buy these in one set containing two of each color. I am saying 2 of each because most of us tend to use certain color's more than other's. Overall these are and will continue continue to be the best metallic pen's in my collection. I strongly suggest to stop using what you are and buying these ones. They won't disappoint! Cannot recommend highly enough!!! ????

These beautiful gel pens will add some great flair to your writing or artwork.

I'm a big fan of colouring books and thought I might try out some metallic gel pens in my colouring, so I ordered this set. These gel pens work well and are great for the price. I love the colours; they are quite pigmented and look great on white paper. Also, none of them were dry and they all went on the paper very smoothly. My one negative is that I found they were a little streaky, but I don't know how they compare to other gel pens when it comes to this, as I haven't used many others. Overall, I think they are worth getting, especially at this price.

lovely colors

I wanted a small set of gel pens to take with me when I travel. I was looking for a set with bright colours and packaging that could withstand being tossed in a back pack. I found that the medium ink flows well and while it dries quickly there can be smudging if you rush. The pens did not bleed through my colouring pages and are very comparable to higher priced pens I have used. I will look for pens by this company when I buy more.

great, rich colours

these are beautiful. The only downside is that the gold is not really gold, BUT there is a silver (chrome) and a gray (dark metal) and it is nice to have that contrast in the silver/gray... I've not found that elsewhere and I really like it. I also love the fact that there are 2 different greens, blues, grays, yellows (not really a gold) but sadly there was no real red. I love them.
