Perfect door handles! Modem and well built

We love our new door handles. They are perfect in every way. I love the matte black modern look without being too fancy or over the top and they are made to last. It’s worth the money to get these. We replaced all of our door handles in our house with this model. Very pleased.

Good but could be better

The quality is good but the range of turn of this handle is too big. You would need to turn it all the way down which is not very convenient. Also, the lock button is a bit noisy when you unlock the door - it bumps out with a loud click.

Nice product. Arrived without screws.

This is a good product for the cost. Was surprisingly difficult to find, but Amazon had it in stock. Unfortunately, the package was missing the two screws that attach the handle to the door, so I need to use my own and paint them black.

Easy to install and looks great!!

This was the easiest install…took all of a few minutes. The handle is sturdy with a nice finish (bright chrome), and a more updated look. Would love to replace the entire house with this handle!!

Modern and clean

This door lever updated the look of the doors quickly and easily. It was a lot easier to install replacing round door knobs.

Great Handle time would tell more, One weakness

Great handle is better than the other brand Kiwkset, which is a completely low-quality product, this is much better, handle length is a little shorter than desired, one issue it has, is that you have to bend down the handle all the way almost to 90-degree bend to be able to get the latch release from the strike plate hole

Nice well built Handle

Schlage is a very good name with an excellent warranty. Very stylish and well built locks. I'm not giving them 5 stares simply because it arrived scratched. Not enough to return it, but seeing how it was packed, I'm not surprised it was scratched. Not Amazon's fault, but the Schlage box itself just had parts loose inside and not wrapped.

Important: Unlocks when handle turned from the inside

Before I get into my main gripe around the inside locking mechanism, let me say that this is a fairly good mid-level lock. Nothing to write home about, just honestly about what you'd expect for the fairly reasonable price-point. I got the Matte Black Latitude Colins style lever and I must say, that design and finish-wise, it does look terrific. I will also commend Schlage for not using garbage quality screws that actually maintained their black colour without revealing any silver after a couple rounds of aggressive screwing-in and screwing-out. Where I am however so disapointed with this lock, is the choice of the locking mechanism. To explain how it works: from the indoor side, there is a nib, that you can either set to the horizontal position (locked), or the vertical position (unlocked). The way this lock works, is that regardless of the locking position you've set the nib to, turning the handle from the inside will unlock the door. I do understand this is a 'safety' feature for as fluid egress as possible in the case of emergency, but it's super important for me to have confidence around the door's locked status, and with this system, there is no mechanical way to verify that the door is indeed locked, because as soon as you test the handle, it unlocks! You basically just have to closely at the nip (not easy when the entire lock is the same colour), and only visually verify that it is indeed locked in the horizontal position. My preferred mechanism would be to set the nib to the horizontal position, as it does, but to only be able to unlock the door from the inside by *first* setting the nib to the vertical position (essentially acting like a tiny deadbolt). This is the first lock I have ever purchased, and I honestly didn't know this was something I was so passionate about that I would have to keep a look out for when selecting a lock, but now I know!
