Seachem’s Neutral Regulator adjusts pH to neutral (pH 7.0) from either a low or high pH and maintains it there. For over three decades, Seachem has been a company rooted in sound science. Our experience in the hobby and an educated staff of chemists and biologists are part of the package when you purchase Seachem products. Seachem remains as one of the few surviving independent and privately owned pet care companies. Seachem is owned and operated by hobbyists. All of our employees are hobbyists who maintain aquariums at home and at the office. Seachem itself was started because one such passionate hobbyist - Dr. Leo G. Morin (Founder) - recognized that the available solutions to aquarists problem wanting. This resulted in Seachem’s very first product: Cupraplex (today known as Cupramine). Over thirty years later Seachem is still approaching old problems in a new way. Seachem’s philosophy is that the knowledgeable hobbyist makes the best customer. This is reflected in solid and reliable customer education and support as well as products proven in science and performance. While Seachem has grown rapidly into a national and international firm, it retains the culture of a small company and is readily available to its customers.

Arrived Leaking
When it arrived (shipped in its own plastic bubble-lined bag) it was intact, but leaking. The seal is still on the bottle top, but upon closer inspection the seal failed on one spot (pictured). Not certain how much had been lost, but I don't think it's a large amount based on how the feels weight-wise. Bought it for recharging two packets of Purigen, haven't gotten to it yet so I can't say anything about its performance. Will keep the bottle for, but felt the leak was worth noting.

Go with powder for larger tanks
Product works, but you will use the bottle way faster than the powder solution. If you have a larger tank, go with the powder!

Problems with trying to lower ph this way
I've learned that if your water has buffering agents, that are meant to keep the ph stable, trying to lower with this product won't work. I've tripled the dose and still can not get the water near 7.0. Despite what the bottle says, that if you have very hard water you "may need to double" the dose. Just be cautious with this product. Big swings in ph can be harmful to fish, and keeping ph stable may not work with this product, depending on your water properties. Water here in the Southwest, is 8.4ph. If you have a smaller tank, it is better to do water changes with RO water you can buy from a water machine, that will have lower ph than mess with chemicals to make that happen.
