Seachoice Bilge Absorbent Oil/Fuel, Polypropylene, 2 Qts.

Brand:‎SEACHOICE

3.8/5

49.85

Manufactured from solid sheets of 100% blown polypropylene. It absorbs oil/fuel in the bilge so that remaining water can be pumped overboard. Absorbs 2 quarts of hydrocarbon. The "safety skin", a tough universal fabric skin, absorbs small amounts of water making the bilge absorbent fire resistant without interfering with its oil absorbency. This skin assures that the absorbent material will not get into the bilge and possibly foul moving parts. Great way to avoid fines from pumping oil overboard. Help keep our waterways clean. Convenient tie downs keep booms in place.

A must have for your bilge
I always keep an absorbent in the bilge of my stern drive as oily vapor eventually contaminates any water. These are a good size, a little larger than I had been buying. I also keep a spare in case of spilling oil during s change.

Really works
So glad I had this in my bilge, it really absorbed a lot of power steering fluid when my boat blew a hose, firstly it kept from becoming a huge mess and second it really did seem to help with not pumping out power steering fluid into the water, I'm no tree huger but I make it a point to do my part to keep our waters clean.

It's dark and dirty down there, I'm not digging too deep, just to give a review....
seems to be working.

Good price and product
Working as described and soaking up the oil that does drip from my 18 year old Yanmar Engines. Will purchase again and replace when needed

Works great. Clean water.
I buy two of them each year. They do what they are supposed to. The service guy always spills a little oil but the residue Is always left behind. The bilge water is always clean and never puts any oil into the lake.

Slow but effective.
Works slowly, but surely. Cleaned up transmission fluid from a leaking seal floating in my 85 ski Nautique’s bilge.

Fits a deep sailboat bilge.
I have a deep-keeled sailboat. This is the perfect fit for the narrow bilge.

Works as intended
Works but it’s a bit big for a single engine bilge

So so effectiveness with diesel
They didn't say how long to leave it in the bilge, but after 24 hours it didn't get all the diesel from a small spill. Underwhelmed.
