Fine screws onto a standard pole/broom end.
Nice product, does come loose with use so I followed a remarks suggestion and put a standard hose fitting rubber o-ring over the thread. Does all you can expect out of a boat hook. Use with my extendable pole or old broom handle left in my rowboat.

good project
The limit of my boating is a small collection of kayaks, so a boat hook was a bit of an odd purchase. AS I'm getting older it is harder and harder to retrieve items that slide to the front of my pick up truck bed. So I decided to make myself a tool to help. I got this hook, a 1" dowel and Pferd 89925 Die-Cast Metal Thread Tip, 15/16" Diameter to connect the two. I've really enjoyed having this hook handy to push and pull stuff around my truck.

Great pusher hook
Good sturdy durable push/pull hook. Love the rounded ends, less damage on whatever I'm moving around with the hook. I use these on the end of adjustable painter poles. I use a wheelchair and have limited reach but, with the poles/hook I'm able to move things around easily, door open/close, hanging clothes on a line, getting things out of tight spaces. I also put the mini paint roller handles on the stick but, they are a bit sharp and cause more damage at times.

Handy hook
You can use a 3/4" rubber washer that was intended for garden hoses to take the slack out of the acme thread. Flat washers will work, but I prefer the round ones. Just put it on the acme thread before you screw it into the boat hook. I use this hook to help wrestling with crab traps. It's a good tool for this.

Works great!
Great little tool! I use this on the end of a telescopic pole to move stuff around the back of my hard covered pickup bed. Perfect for that! Hasn't broken yet and I've been using it for months now. Heavy tool bags and cases of water on a no skid mat are no match for this. Love it. If on the outside chance it ever breaks, I'll buy another one!

Works well for my application
I use these on an extendable pole... but not for a boat. I use them to stabilize my trailer awning when it's windy in conjunction with a ratchet strap on each to secure each pole to the ground. To buy a set of trailer awning poles is crazy expensive, so I devised my above method which works great.

Super stout
Well built boat hook, heavy plastic, not flimsy, will last and dependable!

Perfect replacement for a light and expensive boat hook
This, and an aluminum mop handle made a solid boat hook that won't bend or break at about half the price of the specialty boat hooks. Very happy with this purchase.

Thumbs Up
Put this on the end of an aluminum pole. Works well and seems like a quality product.

The unit was a lot more "heavy duty" than I expected.
Arrived quickly. The plastic was heavier and sturdier than I expected. Good value.

boat hook, garage hook and more
I needed something to assist me in getting things from the top shelves in the garage, pulling things out of the back of the truck as they always seem to end up as far away from me as possible when I need them! This does the trick and does it well. It fits onto a broom handle, an extendable paint rod, etc. The hook is strong for both pulling and pushing. Time will tell of its durability, but it seems to be doing everything I need it to and doing it well. Recommend this for anyone that needs an extra hand.

Great little tool!
This has been SO helpful for parking our pontoon in our slip at the marina when its windy and you need to control the boat. It's also great when we pull up to our dock at the island for the same reason - pontoons and wind are not a good mix but this little tool when attached to a broom handle does the job! It grabs on to a pole or the edge of the dock and we are able to pull the boat in. The handle has stayed put thus far and not popped off despite my anxiety when docking on windy days.

Very sturdy hook.
Well made, fits standard boathook pole threads.
