Perfect!

These are perfect for my outdoor deck. The light switch is outdoors so you would have to go out to turn on. So in other words you would need a flashlight to get to light switch. ???? Purchased these and they are awesome. Went back and purchased more for driveway

Great security feature.

I am very pleased with the purchase of these motion sensor light bulbs with a photocell. I no longer have to be concerned with lighting of my front and back porches. We have animals that come to the house after dark, and these lights will come on when they get close to the house and cause them to go away. It is also so nice not to leave the porch lights on when you are away. When we get near the porch. the lights turn on. Because of the photocell, the lights do not turn on during the day. The bulbs fit into the existing fixture as they are slightly taller and have a larger diameter. On my 16-foot-high front porch ceiling I installed the bulbs with my usual bulb pole tool but used electrical tape to secure the bulb to the bulb retrieval pole tool, and string to detach the tape after the bulb was installed. Before purchasing these bulbs, I was concerned about the sensitivity of the motion sensors. However, after installation the bulbs do not turn on through a window or sliding glass door, but only when we go outside through an open door.

Work great but sensing range is limited

Lights fit standard socket and work great, but sensing range is a little more limited than I expected. They seem to sense about 20-32 feet away from the bulb. Also they normally only stay on for about 30- 50 seconds. I did not time them, but they do not stay on long. However if the person that is being sensed moves a bit, that seems to restart the timing, so then they stay on longer. I installed them to alert people that they may being observed as well as to provide a little light for people who need to see where they are going and/or need to enter a code into the garage door opener device, and they do fine for that. I was having trouble with a conventional sensor, and it seemed like I needed to replace it every year. This required me to be on a ladder and to unwire and rewire the device frequently. I think this will be a lot easier to work with, as all I will have to do is to replace the bulb - no rewiring. Not sure how long they will last (I had seen some other reports that they fail after a few months) but we will see. I am in a windy, wet area in SW Florida, and it is a tough environment for anything outdoors, so as I said, we will see. If they fail quickly, I will update this review. But as of right now, I am very pleased with them. I also installed two in the two recessed overhead floodlight fixtures at my front door - I think those will be fine as they are more protected, and will really help to lighten the front porch area when someone comes to the door. If the visitor moves a bit, I suspect they will stay on long enough to help the visitor find the door bell!

I was on the fence about buying these. I always read the bad reviews first to weed out the incompetent reviews and see how many actual bad reviews there are. Here is my experience so far: Just got them today 02/12/2023. When first installing the light comes on for about 10 seconds. All of them turn on and turn off after about a minute when activated. The motion sensor works as should. Picks up at a decent range but not so far that cars set it off. I'm maybe 4 or 5 car lengths from the road. The other lights turning on does not seem to trigger them. During the day time they have not turned on. I did notice that one of them turned on when no one had been outside. It could have been a raccoon or something though. The lights are quite bright, plenty of light. I did expect them to be slightly brighter but that may have just been my expectations. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase. If I have any problems with them I will update this post.

This have worked great. I have under the eave mounted fixtures which can be a hassle to find good motion sensor replacements. So I purchased these instead. They work great. I’ve been really impressed with their sensitivity and brightness.

Simple, bright, motion lights

These are working great for us. Our 8 front flood lights would get turned on and left on needlessly for long periods of time. These lights work as individual motion lights and turn on quickly and individually as needed. They can also be switched on permanently by turning the light switch on-off-and then on quickly.

Great to have at the front door, which provides light only when needed (ie at dusk/ight). stays on for roughly 45 seconds or so, and then turns off. Perfect amount of time to find your keys in your purse, and get inside. Or saying goodbye to friends as they leave the house. these are great. thanks!

I have these in outdoor pot lights located at ceiling height. These have a motion sensor range about a 10-12’ range from the fixture in this position and produce a flood pattern. I have not noticed any false triggering but as the range is rather limited and the time on is fixed at a short period I may have just missed it. I also tried a standard medium based shaped bulb with the motion sensor at the end but as they were shorter the motion sensor was partially blocked by the pot light fixture resulting in a 9’ range. The reflector shaped bulb also produces downward lighting and are therefore better in this application. These fixtures are part of a lighting circuit that is controlled by a timer switch but in a particular location that I did not want constant lighting. These bulbs work as expected in conjunction with timer switch. I would have liked a longer motion sensor range but overall satisfied with this purchase.
