It's nice
We live in the country and have massive live oaks growing. So we have a "swing tree" in the front yard. We build a copy of standard bench swings out of rope and cedar, and then hung this disc on another limb. It is BY FAR the swing the kids most prefer. So much so that I bought two more to hang on other trees. Some notes, you'll end up needing to use 1/2 rope if you're hanging it yourself using rope. I'd go with nylon before polypropelene (PP stretches too much). If you've never hung a rope swing, go with a slip knot lie a bowline on a bit (google that) or even a double overhand with a backup knot. For the line, braided would be best. I wanted braided polyester, but other than expensive climbing or tree sawing rope, it's too hard to find. I went with braided nylon (from another amazon seller-search for Rope King SBN-12300 Solid Braided Nylon Rope 1/2 inch x 300 feet ) to get a rope with less stretch. Nylon's harder to hold than poly, but in 1/2 it's all about the same, and little kids do ok. Ideally, as an FYI, I'd have rather hung 3/4 for a rope swing. It comes with a rope for hanging on a standard swing set. I suppose that would be ok, but your kids would no way enjoy that as much as a tree. If you have a tree with a limb of 6-8 inch minimum at the base, and ideally 15-25 feet high, the higher the better for swinging, I'd hang this in that. It's what we did. A long pull back by us and they love it. Note that for any disc, they'll always need a partner in order to swing on it. My kids take turns pulling each other back. I let extra rope hang out the bottom so they can grab it and pull each other farther back. On my first one, a metal washer was included near under the hole. A tied know against that washer secures the swing. On my second two, the middle center was taller, great for crotch comfort, but a plastic insert was used... certainly not too strong. But again a big knot is what is going to secure this anyway. Good luck in your rope swing efforts, I hope this helps you all. Thumb it if it does. I always enjoy seeing that.

Fun Swing, Low Price
This swing comes with a screw/eye for attaching it to a tree or swingset. I didn't realize that the screw would be attached to the rope, and since I didn't want to use the hardware it took a bit of effort to remove it. I ended up using pliers to pull the staples off of the rope and then tying/splicing it onto a ring so I could clip it to the hardware I already have in our sensory room. No big deal, I'm just glad I didn't open it in front of my son- he wouldn't have been so patient. It's a pretty nice swing, made of hollow plastic that is light weight, but feels sturdy. The base is sort of oval shaped, which I think would work well for a varitey of sizes of kids. The rope is scratchy nylon; it's sturdy enough, but some kids hate the feel. That kind of rope also tends to break down outside and get really prickly. We might have to replace it with something fabric covered at some point, but that shouldn't be too hard. The swing came with a piece of plastic that was supposed to be used to adjust the height- I couldn't figure out how to attach it, and worried that it would come loose during use, so I just tied a knot below the swing to raise the seat. All in all: it's a good product at a good price, and designed to last. I question their choice of rope, and wish the screw/eye wasn't attatched, but it's worth what I paid for it.

Thought it was for a tree
We have not have much fun because I got the swing for a tree. When I got it home I noticed it was for a swing set. I am not the best handy man or woman, but I am having a terrible time trying to figure out how to mount it to a tree. I have gone to walmart, target, academy and even homedepot, but no one seems to have any kit or even any suggestions of how to do this. I am open to other's suggestions if you would like to send me an email to julie -at- borkowskifamily -dot- com

Very Fun
This is a fun toy. We have had so much fun with the first one we bought, we had to buy another one. We have tried this maker because the seat seemed bigger than the one we bought previously. It comes in one color, best I could tell- green. We hung ours from a tree and it swings quite a bit out there and back. It is great. The seat on it is big enough that at times we have had two kids facing each other on it. Enjoy.

nice disk swing
This is a nice disk swing that I recommend. it does seem to have a slightly bigger seat than the ones Ive seen at toy stores. The swing rope is attached to a very large bolt. i guess it is intended to go into a tree or thru the wood of a swing set. a nice man at Lowes cut the bolt off for me so I could hang it from hardware. (regular bolt cutters wont do it, you'll need something bigger). The kids are really enjoying the swing.

The Finishing Touch!
As i was in the process of "redesigning" and "repairing" our well-used wooden swing set.for our daughter's 9th birthday party, I stumbled across this gem. I had originally anticipated simply replacing the original crossbeam of this swing set (it had cracked in the middle) with the same length beam..When i saw this as a creative way to add another "seat" on the set, I increased the length of the beam and added this disc swing at the far end. It was a big hit.

Has a good length of rope included and the anchor bolt already ...
Gives my son something new to do outside. Has a good length of rope included and the anchor bolt already attached. I didn't use the bolt as I was attaching to an existing rope hanging from a high tree limb. Holds me up with no problem and I'm at least 100 lbs heavier than the target group for this. Sturdy construction, so you can rest easy putting your child on this.

Good but....
This is a good durable rope swing but we did not realize how short the rope was! We have a tall swing set/tree house and the rope is way too short! We are going to have to rig up something in order for our boys to be able to use it!

Great swing. Kids love it
Great swing. Kids love it. Just be careful: If you have younger kids, we found the rope wasn't very long so a) they can't reach it. And b) it is exactly face level, so be careful not to them near when in use. But overall, great swing. Perfect for older kids.

Fun. We couldn't access a beam as recommended
Fun. We couldn't access a beam as recommended, but have done well with a heavy duty hook in a doorway frame. Great 'twist' on swinging.
