Needs a suction relief valve

When using this on my long-haired border collie it would "attach" itself to her skin frightening her and causing her pain. What seems to happen is that her long hair would block the air flow around the tool's teeth. This is probably not a problem for a short haired dog. Most shop style vacuums do not have any kind of relief valve in the hose to provide an alternate path for the suctioned air to bypass the attachment. Many home style vacuum cleaners have such a device on the hose, but most shop style vacuums to not. My resolution was to drill 2 holes on the top of this attachment to provide the missing, alternate path. This helped a lot and now it works great without harming my dog. All-in-all, this really does work good, but be aware if you have a long haired dog and no relief valve in your vacuum.

Best thing we've bought for Great Pyrenees

The media could not be loaded. We needed something to lift and comb through his dense fine hair. We've used many different types of brushes from PetSmart etc. This is for if you're looking to deshed your dog quickly just to get excess fur off. Of course it did not do a complete deshed at least not for our dog because his hair is constantly shedding every single day! This is expected because of the breed he is. I'm sure it would work well for a husky too or similar. We have cats and multiple dogs in and out of our home. Good purchase. Plus it's like a massage for him. He stretched his arms in the air as soon as he felt the teeth from the attachment. He enjoys it greatly. As you can see from video we're using a Milwaukee portable vacuum with a standard hose size, it fits perfectly. Make sure you buy it corresponding to what you'll attach it to. We own a Kirby so we couldn't connect to a real vacuum, and I'm positive you're going to see better results w one. And I'm confident the attachment will connect to a standard vacuum. Hope I helped some way!

Cleaning

It did the work after a couple of times i went over in the same spot but sometimes the brush doesn’t spin had to open and clear any thing.Sometimes it had nothing stuck

Excellent quality - not flimsy!

Because of the Shop-Vac branding I thought these might be better quality than other extension wands (that some folks describ as thin or flimsy). And they ARE better! Very solid plastic, no bending or "cheapness". And most importantly for me - and thanks to question-answerer Scott Taylor for his exact dimensions and description of the taper - they fit the Ryobi ONE+18V 3 gallon vac (model P3240). (Don't know why Ryobi doesn't offer extensions for the VERY short hose on this portable vac.) So while these Shop-Vac extensions work well for me, they should also be great for anyone with a standard hose size on their wet/dry vac. Highly recommended!

Works OK

The extension tubes work good but are not very sturdy. The tubes connect by connecting one tube to the next by slipping over each opening. As you put pressure on the tubes while using them the tubes come apart so you need to continuously tighten the connections.

Esperaba mejores resultados

El producto es tal cual se muestra en las fotos. Le quedó muy bien a mi aspiradora, el material es de plástico semirígido, tiene un poco de flexibilidad, lo que hace que entre bien en la boquilla de la aspiradora y no es duro para el gato. A mi gato le gusta que lo cepille, lo disgruta, pero el ruido de la aspiradora lo asusta, es algo que debn considerar. La compra me fue bien y el envío super rápido, la razón por la que doy esta calificación es que no recolecta muy bien lo pelos del gato, si le quita, pero yo esperaba mucho más, veo mejores resultados con el cepillo normal que tengo (para humano), aunque si le quita algo de pelaje y la ventaja es que se van directo al filtro de la aspiradora.

Three durable, 14 inch, extension tubes.

I like that they are heavy duty and ought to last. I wish the product listing indicated the proper size... 14" apiece, ought to extend a bit over 3' when connected together.

They arrived in quick fashion. Hooked up perfectly to my 1.5 shop vac and worked very well in tight spaces on our balcony. Just moved into a condo and was needing something to get into small spaces. These wands made the job a lot easier to get into small spaces. Would highly recommend them.

Perfect fit

This fit perfectly on my old 4 Gallon Shop Vac accordion type hose and saved my back from being hunched over for a period of time. Would recommend!!
