Poorly designed product,

I am not happy with this product. This should have be a 5-minute project to screw this thing into my top bi-fold door track. Instead it made me holler a few chice words! The screw supplied to tighten the pivot in place has very corse threads which are tapered to a point, and the threads in the plate are stamped-in like a speed nut. I thought nothing of it until I slid this pivot into the door track and attempted to tighten it (philips screwdriver required). When the plate (my term for the larger part of this thing) is sitting loose in the track, there is a gap between the plate and the screw, and as you tighten the screw, it should draw the plate up to the screw, which tightens it up against the track. In my case, the gap was large enough to prevent the tapered end of the screw threads from catching the threads on the plate, so the screw just turned and turned not tightening up to the plate, I fought this thing for about 10 minutes; with the bi-fold doors in place there is not much clearance in the top track to stick a finger or an extra tool up there to help it along, so with several attempts I could not tighten this to the track. My solution: I discovered that I could replace the supplied screw with a 1/4-20 machine screw (no tapered threads) along with a lock washer that was wide enough to span across the width of the door track. Then I was able to tighten it up nice and secure. Job done (and I tosed out the supplied screw).
