11 y/o really likes it!
I was skeptical about the drop pods, but they're okay. My kids love that feature, and although the shock troopers aren't articulated and are monochromatic, my son's imagination is going wild over the ways he can play now that he has dedicated soldiers. This was a great addition to our growing Snap Ships collection.

These sets are awesome
If your kiddo just isn’t into legos, these are awesome. I figured they might follow the directed build and then forget them like so many Lego sets…but no. My 8yr old and 5 yr old keep coming back to these sets, creating new ships and exploring ways they can make interesting builds. We have three sets, and plan on getting more. My 5yr old some times needs help snapping pieces together, but can build ships. I kinda wish I hadn’t let them check out the app, but it does inspire them.

Repackaged by Amazon. Missing pieces.
Cool set. We love the snap ships in general and this had some cool pieces to interchange with our other sets. However, my son Raleigh really enjoys following the instructions and we were missing a set of pieces. We were able to compromise with extra from our collection, but they were shaped differently and led to some frustration.

Grandson looks very happy
A Christmas gift for an 8 year old. The picture we received has a great big smile. That alone makes it worth buying. It will be interesting to find out how durable it is.

Missing pieces
It took him a while to put together as he got several building sets. We found out it was missing a piece but it was too late to exchange it. This happened with a previous set of the same brand. Probably won’t buy anymore.

Very fun to build.
