This snorkel is designed specifically for the needs of free divers or for the scuba divers that prefer the standard bore tube. The ventilation is excellent, because the tube is shorter, has a large bore and is a well-connected anatomical shape without sharp curves. The tube is made from flexible, black material, and a soft silicone mouthpiece fits in to the end; this is a swivel mouthpiece so it can be placed at the correct angle for comfortable and long use. The height adjustable mask strap holder has a modern catch. The America is designed and manufactured in Italy by Cressi, an Italian brand pioneer in scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming equipment since 1946..

Freedive snorkel
Cheap simple snorkel. Throw out the clip and zip tie to your mask. Order another to leave in your bag for when your buddy’s fancy snorkel breaks

Jaw fatigue
I’ve used this snorkel in freediving, snorkeling & for scuba, and my only issue with it is the mouth piece. It’s a bit wide, and feels uncomfortable for me. Because of its width, my jaw feels stretched a bit and therefore I can’t use it for long. I’ve since bought another snorkel that works a lot better for me.

Works well for a budget snorkel
For the price, this snorkel works well. No fancy features, but that’s what I wanted. I use it primarily for teaching scuba, not for long snorkeling tours, but I like it.

Great Snorkel
As an avid free diver, I wanted a snorkel that was comfortable on the surface and wasn't a bother when Im under. The mouth piece is quite soft and fits nicely. The tube is more rigid material, but provides an easy clear with a nice amount of airflow for breath ups. If you're snorkeling or spending even a couple minutes on the surface, I highly recommend this snorkel. Comes with a decent mask clip too. If you're a diver and looking for something to stuff in a pocket this is probably not you're answer.

Very usable plain old snorkel at a good price
I've never been comfortable with snorkels that have covers and clear assists, and so was happy to find this snorkel with no bells or whistles at a reasonable price. The tube angle is comfortable and the mouth piece adjusts without leaking. I didn't trust the clip, and so replaced it with a two ring rubber snorkel keeper. I paid for this product and have no connection to any equipment vendors or companies.

Be very careful: serious choke risk!
I'm an experienced free-diver & scuba diver and I've used a number of these since 6-7 years old. I've been using Cressi products (fins, masks, snorkels, etc.) for many years and I've been very happy about the quality/design. There was a plastic piece lodged inside the snorkel, which was not visible. I thought the snorkel didn't have a sufficiently large diameter at first since the airflow wasn't as good as I expected. The piece was not loose initially because first I exhaled/purged, then when I inhaled the piece went straight into my throat. I was very lucky because: 1. I was not alone, 2. I was not in the water diving, 3. I ended up swallowing the piece. It was most likely a manufacturing defect that was left over inside the snorkel. A really really serious mistake by Cressi. This can cause serious injury/death.
