Not bad for the money I guess
I wanted to get a handle on how bright this was and how long the light would last. Left the flashlight in an East facing window for a month to "fully" charge the battery. (I guess. No charge indicator.) Tested inside at 5:00 AM. Sun hadn't risen. All drapes were shut. I was impressed. It would clearly illuminate objects about 20 feet away. That lasted for about 30 minutes. For the next 15 minutes it had gone down to about 15 feet. Then for the next 15 minutes it dropped down to about 10 feet. After that it was no longer putting out what I considered usable light. Bear in mind this was inside the house. Results would probably not be as good outside where the light would be defused more. Next I wanted to test charging with the crank. I left the flashlight on to draw down the charge. Surprisingly, it was still putting out some light after 24 hours. Not enough to be of any use, but you could still see the LED's were lit. I cranked the flashlight for 5 minutes (timed) at a comfortable rate. The results were less than stellar. The flashlight put out some light, but it was more "this would be better than nothing" at less than 5 feet from an object. Normally the solar charge is for emergency "topping off" use only, but in this case it seems to be the opposite. At this point I'm not sure if the dynamo might need some breaking in or what. Bottom line: If you can leave this in the sun to fully charge most of the time it would be handy, but in a true emergency you might be better off looking for a better solution. Further testing will continue.

Lightweight plastic handle could break if forced.
This flashlight is an excellent blend of solar and hand crank for it's size. No battery weight to carry, no plug to charge. The carabiner handle is perfect for packs and belt loops. The only thing to add might be a longer telescoping handle for the crank, but you can always improvise.

Small and easy to carry
Comes with a snap hook to help keep it attached to your bag or whatever you have. also fits in molle system. The item is relatively bright when you crank it up. The only issue is the battery doesn't hold the "charge" too well. so just be ready to crank it a lot if you are using it for an extended period of time.

Great fun for my 9-year-old
This is a great little flashlight that my 9-year-old, in particular, enjoys immensely. He has been "sneaking" some reading time in past bedtime. He likes reading under the covers and he told me that he cranks the flashlight after every few pages so that he can make sure it doesn't turn off before he finishes a chapter. To date, he's cranked it enough that it has never run out of power, and I know he's bee using it pretty regularly (day and night) since he got it a week ago. He likes clipping this onto his pants and cranking it every once in a while just for fun. He has not tried to give it a solar charge as it's been rainy and overcast, but he really doesn't need to, either.

Handy
So far no issues and it has a small solar charger. I clip it to my back pack and walk arotall day so I don't have to keep cranking it out. I did the first time to see how bright and useful it was. I got about 12 mins average for around few cranks. Handy when look for something quick or don't have space to carry batteries or fuel.

No heat-cooked batteries.
Regular flashlights, kept in your car, let you down because of baked batteries. This hand-cranked light remains functional in all weather, without maintenance.

small and handy to carry
I really like the handy carry clip and the fact that it can be solar or crank charged. It's small and easy to carry, especially with the clever clip built into the handle. Good value. Nice subdued color...not cartoonish.

Linterna práctica y portatil
Me gusto que su tamaño es ideal para llevarla contigo constantemente, y su función de recarga cumple con lo que pedí. Mencionar que no llega a ser una linterna de mucha potencia.

About 5 inches big. Not very bright.
About 5 inches big. Not very bright. Good enough for casual use, and use as back up in case all batteries powered flash lights are not working. A little expensive for this simple device. Will not buy again.

Buena lámpara pero no es muy potente
La lámpara funciona bien pero la luz es muy débil a menos que estés en situación de oscuridad total
