Perfect for what I needed.

I don't use this as a blow dryer or curling iron holder. I like to have a tumbler of water at my bedside for when I wake up thirsty in the night. However, my cat has a habit of pushing it off my dresser just for fun, meaning that I have to get out of bed to wipe up the spilled water. I cobbled together this system, using the over the cabinet door dryer holder, a Tervis mug, and a Yeti 30 ounce tumbler open handle. The tumbler fits perfectly in the holder, which I can then hang on the drawer of my dresser, and there's no way my sweet cat can knock any of it onto the floor. Middle-of-the-night spills eliminated!

Needs padding

Works perfectly as described but the hook part that sits on your cabinet really needs some padding so it doesn't scratch the crap out of your cabinet door. I've improvised but would have been nice if something was included.

Hold still!

My hairdryer needed a home in my tiny bathroom, and when I saw this holder, I knew the size and storage space would be perfect... in theory. My hairdryer is very similar in shape to the one in the picture. The coils that hold the nozzle are shipped compressed in a thick plastic band. Be careful removing it as the coils are held under duress. Once released, you need to stretch them out a bit in order to really hold the hairdryer as designed. This is not easy. I first installed it without doing that and my hairdryer barely wanted to stay in it. It would swing in the coils every time I opened the cabinet door to the point of falling out if I didn't catch it in time. You also need to secure the power cord of your hairdryer to the body of the handle so it doesn't hang. My hairdryer actually has a retractable cord but the plug hanging at the end would cause an imbalance for the nozzle and helped it to fall out of the coils. Once I got the plug to stay on the handle and stretched out the coils, the hairdryer finally stays still when I open the cabinet door.

Perfect length. Tricky to fit concentrator through bottom ring.

First of all, I have been really torn between giving this 4 or 5 stars. I hesitate to give it five just because I don't "love" it, and yet there's really no reason at all to toss off a star. It's sturdy, shiny, fits well over the door and doesn't "swing" but a very little. My cabinets are a standard apartment sized cabinet, and I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough clearance under this for my hot rollers, but that works out just fine. Also, I was concerned that my fully sized hairdryer would not quite fit. It works fine. There are but two possible flaws. One more minor that the other, the most minor being that I wish the design incorporated some sort of cord-keeper. The other issue is that I wish the bottom ring was ever so slightly more open. I keep a concentrator on my dryer for straightening my hair. It is just barely too large for the opening--it WILL go through, but not unless you tuck it in at the exactly right angle

Worked for This Hair Dryer!

Works well inside my bathroom cabinet door. Holds my hair dryer and I'd expect virtually any other hand held dryer as well. No place for cord though so if you don't have a retractable cord, you must tuck it in somewhere!

High Price, But Narrow-sighted Design

Pros: 1) Solid steel 2) Sturdy and decent looking Cons: 1) Myopic design: the "mouth" or the holder at the top is too narrow. The small diameter round opening did not allow any of my three hair dryers to slot it unless I remove the plastic air vent clip at the mouth of the dryer and put in the "naked" dryer. This is an unnecessary and useless task that defeats the purpose of having a dryer holder. 2) The price is too high for such a simple product with very limited utility and usefulness.
