Great value, works great!

I reviewed this in my battery review, oops! Needed a firmware update out of the box but it was simple, even for my 60 year old brain. The unit is pretty intuitive and there are many videos and articles online to help. The Spectrum charger\battery system is slick.

Good entry level smart charger

Bought this as an entry into spektrums smart ecosystem, to try with my backyard flyers. Easy to use didn't have to open the manual. Will charge the backyard type smaller batteries just fine. Firmware update went fine. Only downside is the screen is tiny, and requires me to put on the cheaters, but so does reading anything.

Not a stellar first impression

The media could not be loaded. When I first plugged it in and charged a spektrum G2 battery, it was working great. The display showed % charged, as well as time to completion, which is really nice to know. Upon completion of the first battery being charged, the screen scrambled to nothing more than horizontal lines, as can be seen in the video. I have several Spektrum products from batteries to motors, ESC’s, x-mitters/receivers, and all have been great products. I’m not counting them out at all yet, I’m hopeful this was just a one-off lemon. This one is being returned and a replacement will be her within the week. At that point, I will see how that one performs and update my review at that time. Update: after having the replacement charger for a few weeks now, it has performed flawlessly. No issues with the screen. Charging is fast, even though there is no cooling fan on the unit. I have updated to 4 stars because of the improvement.
