Spenco vs Easyfeet vs Threadlabs
So after suffering for months with plantar fasciitis that has not responded to stretches, ice, or heel cups, I started searching for inserts. None of the inserts in local shoe or sporting goods stores came up high enough to touch my arch, so I ordered 3 of the top rated plantar fasciitis inserts of Amazon: Spenco, Tread Labs, and Easyfeet. For reference I have a high arch, narrow heel, and fat toes. I have been wearing size 7 Sketchers (probably why I have the plantar fasciitis in the first place, the arch support in Sketchers is a joke…). Spenco Total Support Max: “Padding” under the front of the foot is hard. “Padding” in the heel is hard. Arch support is hard plastic, no give. I would call it a medium high support, about as high as the off-the-shelf inserts at the local sporting goods store (does NOT come up high enough to touch my arch). Did not fit into my shoes without trimming. Did not feel like they provided any arch support while in the shoe. Also did not feel like they provided any padding, felt hard. I got the impression that if I tried doing a day at work with these in my shoes (I work in an urgent care clinic) I would have VERY sore feet after a few hours (didn’t test this though, since of the three these were definitely the least comfortable and I knew right away they would be getting returned). Verdict on the Total Support Max: Total fail, no Support, Max discomfort. 2. Tread Labs Ramble “High”: Softest padding of the three, the padding at the front of the foot is definitely much softer than the others. Padding in the heel cup is also fairly soft. Arch support is hard plastic, no give, but the padding makes it feel soft. These have the interesting feature that the hard plastic arch is velcroed to the padding, I guess so you can save money by just replacing the pad rather than the whole insert. It DOES come up high enough that I can feel it touching my arch and giving me some support. They fit into my size 7 Sketchers without needing to be trimmed. They were immediately comfortable to walk on. No feeling of needing to be broken in. Moved them to my size 7 Brooks (which I bought in an attempt to heal the plantar fasciitis since it was clearly just getting worse in the Sketchers). In the Brooks I was able to notice a small pad between the arch and the ball of the foot, which was not uncomfortable but felt a bit strange and took some getting used to. The next day wore the Brooks with the Thread Labs inserts to work. After about 30 minutes I no longer noticed that little pad just behind the ball of the foot. Overall the Thread Labs kept my plantar fasciitis down to a bearable level. What I noticed while wearing these during the day is that they helped prevent my foot from supinating (I have always been a bad supinator, I always wear my shoes out along the outer edge). The following morning my heel pain was there but was less than before. Verdict: Going to keep them. They seem to be helping the plantar fasciitis, and have the bonus of reducing my supination issue. Comfortable to walk on / no break in period. 3. Easyfeet Orthotic Sports insoles with hard arch support: Padding under the front of the foot is hard, almost as hard as the Spenco. Padding in the heel cup is midway between the Spenco and Tread Labs in firmness. Arch support is hard plastic but unlike the others it has some give and flexes a little. It DOES come up high enough to touch my arch, but on this one the arch seems to be placed farther back and it rubs agains my heel but does not support the front part of my arch well (a bit uncomfortable). They slipped into my size 7 Sketchers without needing to be trimmed. Once in the shoes the arch seemed to have better placement, with a bit more overall support but with pressure points at the front and back of my arch. For some reason every time I took a step in these I felt a stabbing pain in the ball of my foot on the side with the big toe. Tried walking around for a while but it did not lessen. Switched them to my size 7 Brooks walking shoes. Still got the weird sensation of pressure at the front and back of the arch with lack of support in the middle/top of the arch. Also noticed even more the stabbing pain at the front of the arch (medial and just proximal to the distal end of the 1st metatarsal), which was an even stronger pain in the quality Brooks then in the cheap Sketchers. I had planned to take these for a test walk outside but the stabbing pain was so unnerving that I decided to just put the inserts back in the box and return them.

Very good insoles
This insole was recommended to me by my podiatrist, and they have not disappointed. I was a runner for many years, and have had several issues with my feet. These insoles are the best bang for the buck. If you need a little extra stiffness in the toe area, you can use KT tape underneath the insole.

Best Arch Support
These are the best arch support that I have found. I've worn them for a couple of years now and they have held up very well...still look like new.

Work well for large feet.
I bought these supports because my insoles in the shoes had worn out. They feel amazing!! I have flat feet and the arch support makes walking feel so much better. One pair I bought have held up over past few months and I work on my feet. This is my second set for another pair of shoes.

Help relieve some of my PF symptoms.
These are not the most comfortable insoles and took some adjustment getting used to them. But they help relieve most of my foot pain. This is my second pair, the original pair finally gave out after a year of use.

Very good arch support for flat feet and PTTD
My flat feet caught up with me earlier this year with pain in one ankle. It look a second opinion from a podiatrist to give me the PTTD diagnosis. While I had been wearing insoles for about the past seven years (Powerstep and WalkHero), they were versions not giving me enough arch support. Through the podiatrist, I purchased their over the counter option (vs $400 for digital custom insoles), the Redi-thotics Maxx at a reduced price (also available on Amazon). They immediately made a positive difference. But I wanted to poke around on my own to see what other options are available that feature a well supported arch. So I tried these Spenco's. They match the Redi-thotics with providing the arch support and stability that I need. There definitely is an adjustment period with some arch discomfort, but that is a small price to pay compared to the extreme ankle pain. The Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx might be another option in line with the Spenco.

These things are amazing
I’m 54 year old man who works at fedex and enjoys running on treadmill when one day I all of a sudden had pain in my heel. I bought these and immediately the pain went from a 9 to a 2. Been wearing them every day for about a week and pain is still slightly there but going away little by little

I am able to walk and stand double my previous time!
After so many former inserts, these have offered the best support and are durable. I have been able to almost triple my time on my feet with these that I purchased another pair and plan to purchase more.

More than I expected
I was really hesitant on ordering these because of the price, but my work said they would pay for them so I went ahead. I'm on my feet all day and my once broken toe and my flat feet were killing me. I tried some cheaper brands with no success. These felt like the other brands and I thought they were going to fail me. But after one month my feet feel great and these work. I am going to buy another pair for my non work shoes. I'm a bit surprised on how well they work, but they do.

Great For Runners With Flat Feet!
I've had a flat foot ever since I was a kid, and I even had orthotics made. But I stop using them since I can't get used to the discomfort of the pain. Even while I could endure running in only motion control shoes, my feet would suffer after each run and my lower legs would feel exhausted. Superfeet and Runpro both work, although they only minimally improve my situation. But I've never tried Spenco? What have I got to lose, I thought to myself. After receiving it, I couldn't wait to use it for my 10k run. During the first ten minutes, my feet were definitely getting used to the rigid arch support. After the adjustment period, all of the discomfort I used to feel while running disappeared entirely. This is because as advertised, their 3-PODModulation System completely offset my over-pronation making my run incredibly comfortable. The price is more than justified by the performance of these insoles. I'll be a Spenco customer for life!

great product. good support. better than superfeet.
so I would give this 4.5 stars. Its very good quality and provides great support. The half a star off is just because for me this could be a bit stiffer - it does shift a little bit when i try to bend it with my hands - which to me means it will definitely bend a bit under my weight - but so far there is no pre-made insole I have found that doesn't do this; I think the only solution to this is to but a custom insole (which is about 400 bucks). One thing I wanted to comment on was how this compares to superfeet green - imho its better. you can feel the extra padding they put into the 3 'pods' on the bottom - and with this insole they also provided a metatarsal pad as well!! well worth the money and there's nothing i have tried that compares to it so far. If you have Prime I would recommend getting these, the regular 'spenco total support' and the green superfeet and seeing which you prefer and returnign the rest.

Best money I have ever spent in 20 years
I have 5 pairs of total support and 1 thin model. They cured my plantar fasciitis within a week, with the stretches. The stretches helped some... but as soon as i got my spenco's it was immediate relief. So i bought more for every shoe. In my rubber boots, in two pairs of hiker shoes and in my hiking boots, and the thin model in yet another shoe. My son used them at sea in his rubber boots too The first day or so the arch support feels too high. Even for me with high arches. But they mould to foot after few days. So stick to them. Best money I have ever spent in 20 years. My feet have never been this painless at sea. I even hiked steep mountains in Newfoundland and never got a blister, the first time for that.
