Springbok, puzzle, 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, high quality puzzle

I rate this puzzle A+ While the sky was really challenging (due to any real lack of variations in the blue) the rest of it was really fun. I have purchased about 20 jigsaw puzzles lately (quit smoking and wanted to do something with my hands) - and Springbok is the ONLY high quality puzzle I have found. Was very disappointed in other brands as the pieces are thin and don't interlock. SPRINGBOK PUZZLES HAVE UNIQUE SHAPES AND FULLY INTERLOCK such that you could pick up sections or the completed puzzle when you want. I highly recommend all of the 350 and 500-piece puzzles from this company. The thicker pieces also allow you to slide them into one another (other brands sliding pieces results in them going on top of other pieces.) It was also educational because a friend saw it and explained told me about the annual hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As I am 49 now - I still prefer Springbok's 500-pc puzzles, as the size of the pieces decreases dramtically when you move into the 1000-pc arena. The puzzle looks great when completed, too!

Great and challenging.

A few things about this puzzle: Size: 1000 piece puzzle - completing it will make you feel good as it's a decent size. Colors: Great. Picture: Great, except for the fact the red and blue balloons on the far left and far right are EXACTLY the same balloons, and this makes it hard to figure out. It was really annoying, but I guess if you think about it, it was a challenge, and that's essentially what a puzzle is. Pieces: Interesting shapes, definitely kept you guessing. My puzzle had no missing pieces. I recommend this puzzle, but you might get frustrated in certain areas of putting this puzzle together.

Oldest balloon race in CO with incredible background.

Very old picture of the Snowmass Village Balloon Race in Colorado, oldest balloon race in the state. Most of these balloons don’t exist anymore or the ponds that create the incredible reflection. If you like doing puzzles of balloons with incredible background and reflections, this is it.

We are big fans of Springbok puzzles and have purchased many over the years because of the high quality, unique puzzle pieces and the subject matter. I was surprised to see the other reviews stating how disappointed they were in the quality of this particular puzzle, Balloon Bonanza.. I decided to order anyway because we have always been so pleased with Springbok. As soon as I opened the box I knew exactly what the other reviewers meant. Pieces were stuck together and the cardboard split on some of the pieces when separating the pieces. The pieces did not snap into place easily like all of the other Springbok's we have had. Just by looking at the pieces you can see the poor quality of the material and how poorly it was constructed. AND it is the most expensive of all the Springbok's we have ever purchased! I won't stop buying Springbok but I will definitely think better of it before I order.

Difficult and Clever Puzzle

This was a difficult puzzle. The sky itself is challenging and takes patience. Some of the balloon patterns are duplicated, and then some of those show up as reflections in the water. While the balloons can be put together individually, sometimes it is not easy to know if they go together, or or part of a duplicate ballon, or are part of the reflection in the water. Fun and challenging.

Nice Photoshop Picture

This is a nice colorfull puzzle with not tradicional cut pattern, what makes it more interesting and challenging than other regular cut pattern's puzzles. Unfurtunatelly, I realized after buy it that picture is not 100% real, it was edited and three of the gloves were copied and pasted. Still looks good, but desapointed thst is not a true scene.

scary but safe

Wow , no fault of yours, but the crazy mailman put the cardboard box that the puzzle was shipped in outside my door and we were out of town. It rained for 3 days when I got home the entire package was soaked. Even the cover of the puzzle box was drenched. My heart sank and I knew it was ruined..I opened the box and the puzzle pieces were protected by the plastic and were crispy dry.YAY! Put it together this weekend on vacation with 5 other family members and it was a big hit. Thanks!

Not for beginners

We have a tradition in our household to do a jigsaw puzzle over the holidays. We did this puzzle with 6 people in 24 hours, but the last 200 pieces were done by the two most hardcore puzzlers in the family and took most of the last 12 hours. If you like a challenging puzzle, this is it. The pieces fit fine, but you have to be on your toes since many of them look alike.
