For porter cable dry vacuum

Its a little large for the porter cable vacuum from Costco but it still works. The new plastic ring is way too big so don't throw away the old one.

It doesn’t fit the 3gallon Stanley

I purchased this because I owned a 3 gallon Stanley shop vac. The instructions on the item stated that it would fit it. The ring is way too large. I ended up using the ordering in order to attach the bag. The bag is also very large for the machine that I own. I was disappointed.

Solid Product

The blue bag is a wee bit larger than the one that was on the 1.5 litre shop vac I have. That resulted in the clamp being too big so I reused the one that was on it. I may have to cut the top of the blue bag and wedge-cut around so that it fits more tightly. It does work though and is better that the thin, holey bag I had.

Yes this seams to be a good filter

I didn't use this filter as intended. I needed some filter material to repair an older type vacuum filter and this worked great.

Fits exactly my Stanley 2.8HP 4-gallon wet/dry vacuum cleaner. Just keep the other filter which is inside this filter - then this ring sits tight.

Poorly designed clamp ring makes it almost useless

The clamp ring will fall off, allowing the filter to fall off and the vac starts to spew dust all over the room. Very poor design. To mitigate it you can use a long cable tie, but you shouldn't have to.
