LIFETIME WARRANTY: ‘BUILT FOR LIFE’. Since 1913 we’ve promised to provide rugged, capable gear for food and drink, built to last a lifetime. It’s a promise we still keep. Stanley products purchased from Stanley Resellers come with a lifetime warranty. HOW TO USE: Place your favorite coffee grounds in the French Press, add boiling water and give it about 5 minutes to brew, then press the steel plunger once you’re ready to have a great cup of coffee to start your day. EASY TO CLEAN: The last thing you want to do is spend your time cleaning – that’s why every piece of our French Press is dishwasher safe. TOUGH AND DURABLE: We designed this with two layers of naturally BPA-free 18/8 stainless steel walls to provide superior insulation The mesh plunger is strong enough to keep animals in their field but fine enough to keep grounds out of your cup. MAKE NOW, DRINK LATER: Designed with double vacuum insulation, this French Press not only allows you to make an amazing cup of Joe but you can also keep it hot for up to 4 hours to enjoy as you go It can keep cold drinks cold for up to 9 hours. Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted.

It's large and thick. Realistically, 1000ml or 1200ml tops, messy at 1400.
I know, it's Stanley and burly tough and all that. I just want a lot of camp coffee for a group. I was hoping to do 1.4L/48oz fills, but that doesn't leave much room for the Oversized lid! Why is that lid so thick and tall? 1.0L is comfortably in there, or 1.2L if you're careful. Here's the thing -- why do you need an insulated press this big? Who's leaving their coffee in the press for long enough that vacuum insulation matters? I'd be fine with a thinner/milder insulation and more coffee-making volume. The handle is not removable, so it packs large. It's rather bulky. I am considering a non-insulated press-pot that I can just put right on the stove too.. this one will need a kettle or pot to transfer from. The french-press filter is, well, coarse. Don't expect clean clear coffee. "But wait!" you say. "I use the DaddyHoff patience brew and let it all settle for 10 minutes!" Right you do. But if you're pouring that 1.2 Liters of coffee into six different cups, it will slosh around enough to pick up silt and stuff, and that filter isn't straining much out. You know what you're about.. you probably already know if this will work for you, just know that the sidewalls are thick, lid is thick, and it's a really large piece of kit for ~1.2L of coffee.

Beautiful and functional
I love this French press. I take it in my airstream so I don’t have to travel with a full size coffee pot. It’s brews the perfect cup of coffee every time.

find a cheaper option
after breaking 2 flimsy glass carafes in less than 6 months, i wanted something more solid. this certainly does the trick. it’s built like a brick! i splurged because i like the color (matches my kitchen) and it’s durability. but i’m sure there are cheaper, better options available. the filtration system is lousy. there are coffee grounds in every cup i’ve poured. and yes, i’m pushing the plunger down slowly. it’s not a lot of coffee grounds and it doesn’t affect the coffee but for the price, i was hoping it would be more efficient. there are also no fluid oz markings anywhere on the carafe. the mugs i take to work only hold 20 oz so i had to measure out 20 oz in the carafe and then use a power drill to scratch a 20oz marking line. i also wish it came in a smaller size. maybe just a single serving size? it is quite large. it looks nice and is built to last. just not the best on cost/efficiency.

Large capacity french press
Recently used for extended stay travel. Love the quality of coffee from a french press and especially the 10 cup capacity. Make one pot for my wife and I and stayed hot unitl we finished the last cup. We took an electric tea pot for the hot water so easy peasy.

Hot coffee an hour later? Yes!
Our poor little Bodum broke. No, not the glass part, that was the previous one. This one failed at the plunger. Sad part is, had we kept the other parts, we'd be ok... Because you can't find a plunger on Amazon. Enter the new search for better coffee. I came across several models that were cheaper, but also seemed to come with faults that I didn't want in a coffee maker. Stanley French Press shows up. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but I like Stanley. They make a good tape measure. Ok, that might be another Stanley.... But I jumped aboard because I like my tape measure, and I like hot coffee. I also like cold coffee. I don't like lukewarm coffee. Sorry Luke. The Stanley arrived quicker than I could measure out the dimensions of my living room. Ok, it was about two days. There was minimal packaging, by which I mean none, so bravo for helping save the environment, or at least leaving it up to Amazon to do it. A wash later and my wife is getting the first brew going. Now this thing is big. Much bigger than the old Bodum. It's like Chewbacca standing beside Leia big... Now I know there is going to be coffee in my future, even if I don't get there right away. No empty pot for me. Score one for Stanley, it measures up! I don't know if I got the last 1/4, but I did get some grounds in my cup. Ok, we were warned in other reviews and I expected it. Not a deal breaker, but it still made wonderful french press coffee. Four pots in my wife has the idea to maybe not use the fine grind setting on our grinder. Genius. Far less, if any grounds now in our coffee. But I missed the exciting part! An hour later, my coffee was still hot! No more having to wrap a towel around the french press in hopes of getting a warm cup if there's still a cup left. No, now with this Stanley I've got a cup waiting that is hot without the need of a throw rug cozy on the counter. WARNING, this is still a french press. It looks rugged, but it still doesn't go on your stove element. Add coffee, hot water, and wait. Press and pour after the desired brewing time. Ok, ok... One more exciting thing that we haven't tried yet, since it's still snowing outside... Apparently you can use it to make cold brew coffee.... Summer is going to be awesome!

Solid replacement for my Bodum. Keeps coffee hot for hours!
This is a solid replacement for my Bodum. If you're looking for light and airy, this is not for you. If, on the other hand, you're looking for something that would probably survive the zombie apocalypse... Keeps coffee hot for hours! One mod I have made is to double up on the stainless steel mesh filter, and it goes from good to Excellent. This one is highly recommended for the hardcore coffee drinker.

Best French Press I've Owned
This thing is great. Better than the standard Bodum, or the fancy La Creuset that the Stanley usurped. The Bodum is easy to crack, say if you slam it into the side of your counter; as is the Creuset. But this thing's built like a tank. It's insulated, so your coffee stays hotter during the brew. The filter is very good, on my old Creuset I'd have to strain the coffee during the pour. Not so with the Stanley! The white is a very nice colour as well. All in all, a great purchase.
