Nice little casserole dish
Works great in my toaster oven - distributes the heat nicely and doesn't burn things like a metal pan would. Worth the extra $$$.

Perfect Size
I purchased this to replace a 30-year old baking dish that had become cracked and too dangerous to use. The Staub dish is a little smaller than the old one but it's the perfect size for cooking for one or two.

Great dish, little small
It’s a nice dish for smaller dishes. Not large enough for large casseroles

One of my favorite baking dishes
As a former professional chef I learned early to buy quality whenever I could because it would last longer and serve me better than cheaper items. Cheap is cheap for a reason. When I was moving in to a new home I took it as a chance to build the cookware collection I really wanted. Long being a fan of Staub enameled cast iron, I decided to pick up several pieces of their ceramic bakeware as well. Collectively my Staub ceramic bakeware is by far my favorite thing to use in my oven. It's durable, versatile, easy to clean and maintain, dishwasher safe, holds up to frequent use, and is attractive enough to easily go from oven to table.

Oval side dish casserole
I got the cherry red to match another set of Staub ceramics. This oval 9" holds almost exactly 500 mls of liquid (I measured it by filling and pouring into a measuring cup.) So that's half a liter for you metric types and half a quart or 2 CUPS for us American hold-outs. So it's not big enough for a family of four to bake some mac & cheese but it is great for cooking for one or two, which I do mostly. Or for a side dish or for a couple of baked apples. The Staub ceramic is well made, heavy, and glazed beautifully; the cherry red is red outside and white inside.

Nice design
Bought a red and a blue to replace some older ones I have. They seem to be made much better than what I had.
