Dont let the specs fool you!
At this price point can't beat this light. Where I use it my longest shot is 140 yd and its easy to see the shapes of animals and their eyes. To beat this light you will have to spend a lot more. It is likely and Incredibly efficient and the only negative I can say is the size of the reflector creates a bell that you have to stand off from your weapon considerably.

Very bright
This is a very bright light and I can see it thru my scope well. I'd say it's effective out to 100yrd easy maybe 150yrds if you have a good scope and alignment with this light. Only things I don't like are battery life is short for 2xC123. And the beam is not adjustable.

Bright but non adjustable
Overall it's a really good light for night hunting on a budget. Only thing I wish they did was allow for brightness control which is critical for night hunting. At close range this light can be over bearing to game animals.

Easily the best greenlight out there
Amazing greenlight. Have used on a dozen or so hog / coyote hunts. Lights up the night unbelievable well. Can see green varmint eyes up to 200 yards away easily. Puts the other hunter's lights to shame. My friend doesn't even bother to turn his on when I'm there, he says my Gamespoter puts off more than enough light for him as well. Can easily change from one rifle to another (or pistol) in less than 10 seconds. Good battery life. Still on my original battery (10 plus hunts and 30 or so camping trips) and still a powerful light. I have 4 other greenlighs from various manufactures and this is the on I prefer by far. Highly recommend.

Pay the price, and own the best.
I've got more gun mounted hunting lights than should be allowed by law. Mostly because so many of them are disappointing, to put it mildly. The Streamlight products are never a disappointment. The TLR-1 Game Spotter is, in my opinion, the very best one out there. Don't let the low lumens number scare you off. The well-designed parabolic reflector and quality materials/construction of this light give it 31,000 candela, which is the number that matters. It throws a very tight beam downrange. Can ID the critters easily to 350 yards or so... can light their eyes out to several hundred yards. Mounted under the barrel with a Beamshot RF9 mount, or under the fore-end with the Caldwell adapter, these things have been the most reliable, effective lights I own. You can give them silly names that impress the kiddies, box the Chinese junk up in cheesy plastic boxes with goofy Halloween graphics and outrageous (and untrue) claims... but in the end, these Streamlights are what do the trick. The TLR-1 HPL model is my other favorite, but that one will light up stuff two counties over, it seems. I don't hit the switch on those until just before I pull the trigger.

The beam is amazing
I was skeptical with the low advertised lumens. But the beam is so clean and well focused that it does great. But it's not just a beam it has a nice soft spread too. I was looking forward to being able to swap the bell housing with my TLR 1 HL but as you can see in the pictures the threads look to be standard vs the metric treads on the HL. I used the light threw out a 3 hour night hunt and took some pictures while I was there. The furthest distance in the photos is 110 yards. With or without the optic I could easily make out anything within the beam. I was a little worried when I first got my package because the batteries were already installed and the voltage read 3.16 on both batteries. That's a little low compared to the 12 pack of streamlight batteries I purchased with the light. They all sat between 3.24 and 3.25 volts. Oh, and if you look at the LED the HL model has an SL symbol and the game light does not.

Excellent night hunting
Have used this with night deer hunting and it is fabulous! Don’t let the low lumens bother you. The big parabolic lens focuses the light out to about 100-200 yds. With that, you get a great green glow from the animals eyes and as long as you’re zeroed properly can make the shot. I use this in conjunction with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 scope with an illuminated reticle. Works like a charm!

very nice quality, fit and finish are very nice
very nice quality, fit and finish are very nice, my only gripe is that they could make the bezel slightly deeper so a flip up lens cover would install with out mods. other wise perfect amount of lighting for indoor use with out blinding yourself when faced by a white wall at short dist. and has a very nice center beem that illuminates easily out pas 200 yard. highly recomend
