Too expensive to be so sensitive

On the first day my son wore these shoes, the sides and top got scratched. I did not expect these shoes to scratched so easily. Compared to other less expensive shoes, these did not meet my expectations for normal wear and tear of a child. I was really hoping my 6 year old could use these shoes for longer but after a week of using, they look older than they should. This is so disappointing. Is this normal for these shoes? I would expect the outside material to be a bit tougher than this.

Worth buying it.

I tried a few other brands for my 6 yrs old boy but this stands out. As you can tell 6 yrs old always run no matter what they are wearing, this shoe works better than others, comforts-wise and look. Works for party and formal school day.
