A lot bigger than anticipated

I will keep this as a back up. I have not installed it so can't give a fair review. It is bigger than anticipated but will work for my needs.

Just what I needed

Needed to replace a failed pedestal sump pump. This one fit the sump dimensions and had served well to date. Looking for years of trouble-free service.

Good item.

Didn't notice till I was having it put in. It stands a bit taller than my old one. Over all it does the job. Water rises. trips the switch. pumps out. not much to it. Only reason 4 star on install was I had to call a guy in due to going threw a wall for the water to exit. Not a simple thing unless you have the tools.

first sump had to be returned

The first pump made a very loud squealing noise , sounded like a bearing was tied-up and ready to fail, very discouraging. I did request a replacement pump, and is very quiet, and functions well. The first pump had quality control sticker on it, not sure what they checked and installed that sticker, it certainly was not the operation of the pump. I do like the cast iron base of the pump, and the stainless float ball, float shaft, and impeller.

Worked like a champ, quite and dependable.

I bought two of these and installed them next to each other. I have one set to kick on, and the other is set to go if the first pump fails. We had a lot of flooding this winter and the pump was needed a lot. These things did great. Since it was a new installtion, and I wanted to be sure they worked, so I would run one for a while, then switch to the other one. Both pumps worked well and were very quite. Water was lifted about 10 feet through 1 1/4" PVC with no problem. They ran about 5 weeks, 24 hours a day until the water table FINALLY went back down.

Product is as described

It looks like a well made pump,l only gave a four Star because I just installed it and not sure how long it will last. Hopefully it will last longer than my last one which was a different manufature which only lasted a few months. Time will tell,the good news is this pump comes highly recommended and has a five year warranty.

Superior Pump 92551 1/2 HP Cast Iron Pedestal Pump

This pump was easy to put together. Worked right from the get go, and seems to be doing the job as intended. I chose this one because of the CAST IRON base, Metal switch arm , and the stainless steel rod guide . I've had plastic ones in the past that never lasted for any length of time. This pump is also amazingly quiet. It also has a 5 year warranty. Keep in mind it does not come with the check valve, but it is sold separately , so make sure you get one as well.

Excellent and a well built pump. Quiet and pumps a lot of water . Have 2 of these pumps installed in my basement, does a great job in keeping the water under control. Will be ordering a third one to have as a spare……

Strong looking Pump

I just installed this pump a few days ago - it was a replacement for a similar but older pedestal pump. It seems well built, very sturdy. It is now ready for the next time I have water problems in my basement. Until then, I won't know how good it really is. However, there is peace of mind in knowing that a pump like this is in place and ready, when and if needed.
