Great to have floating around the pool

This hoop would not stay together for the life of it. I had to use self-tapping stainless screws to hold the top and lower hoops together i did not screw in the risers (vertical) supports to keep it easily storable in my pool bin... other than needing to screw it together this is an awesome pastime for restless teens while swimming.

Great, no problems at all.

Bought this recently to take to Church Camp this year, and the kids loved it! Not sure what all the fuss is about assembling it, but it took about 5 minutes to assemble and start screwing the parts together, which took another couple minutes with a small dewalt driver. If you make sure you use the curved T connections on the top portion of the hoop, it goes together very easily. Once together it felt fairly sturdy and all seemed good, but knowing I was taking it for kiddos to abuse for a week in the pool, I took some extra precautions and used some duct tape (used orange so it could be seen better in the evening) and reinforced all the joints with the tape. I also used an extra water noodle and cut it up and placed it on the floating part of the hoop as well (see attached pic). I never used it without the modifications, but I can say that with the extra floaty portions, it was difficult to tip over, and withstood a great deal of abuse during the course of the week. The ball was cheap but worked well and withstood plenty of abuse as well. I'd buy it again, and feel that the extra ten minutes and a few extra bucks to make the modifications I did was money and time well-spent too. The pic of it is after a week in the pool. :)

Wanted to like this; couldn’t complete assembly

This hoop was easy to assemble pieces, however there are screw holes only in the small connector pieces and NOT in the tubes underneath. Even with a drill it was impossible to penetrate the tubes to hold it together. Had to return it.

Very nice and fun

It requires an adult to assemble the basket, but it wasn’t too hard. It’s really fun to play basketball in the pool. Really sturdy. It’s light and portable.

It is fairly easy to set up

I bought this floating basketball set for my daughter, who loves shooting hoops. The package arrived on time. It took me 30 minutes to assemble. I read the reviews and read that some folks had issues putting it together. Uh, it’s not high-tech. It is fairly easy to set up. Just need a philips head screw driver. Don’t put massive pressure on each screw as you are turning the screwdriver. There is only pre-drilled holes in each “t” section and not a predrilled hole for the screw to go into. Basically each turn of the screw is making a hole for the screw to actually attach itself to the inserted PVC pipe that fits into the “T” connector. I did read that someone used PVC glue. I would have chosen to use that if I had it on hand. I did add more foam around the base of the hoop so it won’t tip over during use. I cut up a pool noodle and slid it onto the base. We enjoyed shooting hoops in the pool shortly after assembly.

A few adjustments needed!

Once we figured out to put the curved clamps at the top we were ok. We also screwed the provided screws right into the plastic and now we have a very sturdy net that our grandkids can use safely with no chance of screws coming loose and tearing the pool liner!

Fun to Play With

After unboxing I found screws in the package. If the add indicated screws were needed to contruct I wouldnt have purchased. I dont like the idea of a puncture point in my pool. I ended up building this with no screws just white zip ties. It works great, but be aware you will be having screws floating in your pool, hightening the risk of puncturing your liner.
