Easy to install and use: 1. INSTALL: Place cutter on tape roll with blade and arrows pointing toward the 'loose' end of tape. Leave 4 inches of space between cutter and end of tape. 2. SECURE THE CUTTER: Feed elastic bungee cord through tape core, wrapping both ends of the loop around the cleat. 3. Not a replacement for a tape gun.

This product is designed to replace scissors and would be good to use for duct tape or any strong tape. I bought it for packing tape but it is not meant to feed tape only to cut it. I’ll likely keep it in my toolbox to use for hard to cut tape but still need a packing tape dispenser.

Cuts well but doesn't keep feeding tape between cuts

Annoying to have to move the cutter and pull a new strip off tape after every cut.

Beware of super sharp blade! It sliced me more than once!

The directions are very vague and regardless of what I did, it wouldn't stay on the roll of tape. The blade can cut deeply, even more than your typical tape dispenser. My hands were cut 3 times before I gave up, carefully wrapped it in lots of bubble wrap and threw it in the garbage. Returning it wasn't an option for me because I am disabled and have no help at this time. Hope this helps.

More work than a pair of scissors

This gadget is extremely fiddly. An elastic instead of a rod to hold the tape roll in place. The roll starts bouncing as soon pressure is applied to pull out the tape. The smaller the roll, the worse the jiggle. The thin elastic also means the tape will not feed smoothly. You need one hand to hold onto the tape roll and the other to pull out the tape. The seller's video shows how easy it is to stick tape onto a box. But they are not selling tape. They are selling the cutter. It doesn't tell you exactly how the tape is being released from the roll and how you can cut out a long piece if you don't want to stick it onto a surface right away. Perhaps this gadget is only meant for people who only use tapes to tape up boxes.

This creates super clean straight cuts. I will never go back to cutting with scissors again.
