Good camping mat

I put this inside the entrance of the tent when we're camping to help cushion our feet. It's nice and lightweight, easy to pack up, and does the job well.

Keeps tent canvas off the ground.

I put mat under tent floor. If it rains, the water runs through the mat, rather than pooling under the floor, making packing up much easier as the floor will be dry.

Great mat ...but orange not red.

Great mat....but it is Orange. This would be perfect for the beach or picnics. Easy to fold -carry -and store.

Great mat

I used this as a door mat for our 10 person tent. It worked great for this purpose and was easy to sweep clean. It is a good size and folds up nicely. It forms it's own carrying case when folded up and that part (handles, pocket, velcro) seems pretty cheap and I don't expect it to hold up too well. That's ok, because the mat itself seems well made and sturdy to last a while.

For My Tent Floor

These mats are not the best quality, so if you're looking for something to last a lifetime, look elsewhere. If you're looking for something functional and cheap, these will do just fine. I use four of them to cover the floor in my Kelty Trail Ridge 8 tent. The sand does seep through, so it doesn't keep the floor clean, but it creates a nicer surface and protects the floor from cot legs and such.

Much better than you would expect

Just brought this to the beach and really was surprised at how well it worked. Its very light but lays flat and with a little sand on each corner it stayed put. The straw feels like it has a plastic type coating on it which is soft and smooth. The sand from the kids feet sifted through relatively well and by the end of the day it was still a good place to sit or keep the towels and other things out of the sand. It folds up into its own carry pouch and shakes out the sand really quickly. I wasnt expecting to be this much different from a plain blanket but it certainly was. It was also bigger than I expected

does not look like the pictures

does not look like the pictures, there are just 3inch stripes, no varigation in the design. I mention because I am using it as a window shade for my drummer roommates window, (drums are red)... I THOUGHT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THE PICS, NO ,, STRAIGHT FLAT LINES IS ALL... It is well made, I personally was disappointed in the design LOOK. IT LOOKS LIKE FAT RED AND WHITE STRIPES ONLY.... PERFECT FOR THE BEACH!!!!
