Good looking and sturdy enough

But one of these items came broken along the seal and, since I live overseas, I was unable to send it back for a replacement. Fit for purpose. But looking at other similar bumpers that have been fitted for a while, they will need some basic maintenance to keep them looking good.

Works as advertised!

I installed 5 of these bumpers 2 years ago on our dock in Florida. They were easy to install, they hold air (haven't had to add any air to them since original installation) and they are holding up well to the salt water environment. I would purchase them again.

Fenders did not hold air

The fill valve appears faulty on 3 of the purchased dock bumpers. I used water to lubricate the inflation needle but found on it's withdrawal air leaked and has continued to do so. I have tried inflating several times with no success. I believe that it is a flawed product.

DOCK BUMPER IS TOO SHORT AT 36"

If you have tide fluctuations of more then 36" this will not work for you mounted on the dock piling/pole running up to down. The boats rub rail will go over the highest point of the bumper at high tide and be below the bumper at low tide. Also it is not thick enough at 5.5" to install along the dock as it will not even touch the boat. Taylor needs to manufacturer an at least 48" dock bumper to work.

Like many of the comments listed, I was surprised that this fender did not hold air right out of the box. Normally Taylor Made Marine products are top of the line!!!

Do not buy and waste your time

Do not buy and waste your time. Now I need to send three back. good Taylor made quality but right out of package the three i purchased will not hold air. Bummer!!
