Trusted Soil Thermometer
This thermometer is an excellent value. As a zone 6B gardener, I needed an accurate thermometer to track soil temperature so I could plant my dahlia tubers. This thermometer is long enough to take a 6 inch read and it appears to be accurate, easy to read and sturdy.

Does not read low temps so you can't measure cold food or refrigerator temp
I thought this was the same as our old one but it doesn't read cold temps. We use these to measure refrigerator temp and this is useless for that

Thermometer
Just what I was looking for lets you know if your proteins and or side are at the right temps not just for health inspectors but for chiefs as well not for use in ovens I already know this as when I was a cook all employees had to have one and log in their temps...

It works any chef will love it.
Very nice and accurate pocket thermometer. It’s something every good chef or cook can use.

cooked a perfect roast
I chose this because it reads from 0 F to 220F, and can be calibrated. I've only used it twice, but seems to be quite accurate

Pass this one up. It's not worth the money. Very slow read before the food starts cooling.
This product is fine if you like to wait 5 minutes for an accurate reading. This thermometer takes a long time to come up to temp. I was over cooking most of my food because I thought it was under safe temps because this would never reach the temp fast enough before the food would start cooling. I bought a different digital fast read thermometer and compared and my food was always done but not according to this one. It's fairly easy to read but if you have a child cooking and helping it could be confusing for them. Also I want to point out that anyone with bad eyesight would have a hard time seeing this thermometer dial. I will not recommend this or be re-buying it.

Seems to be accurate
It just arrived so I tested it. It seems to be accurate, but responds slower than our other thermometer of the same type. When you are checking the temperature on food you don't want to wait. if I had to do it again I would look for a different unit. The brand is Taylor and it's made in China.
