Tekonsha 'T-One', Vehicle Specific Tow Harness Connectors require no splicing of vehicle wires. Simply locate your vehicle's wiring harness connector, unplug the connection and insert the T-One Connector into the vehicle's harness. No special tools required. To reduce the strain on your vehicle's existing electrical system, this kit includes a powered HD ModuLite module that takes power directly from the battery to power the trailer's lighting system. Depending on the vehicle, the module either receives its power from a single, simple to add, wire that connects to the positive battery terminal or draws power from the vehicle's trailer wiring port. The ModuLite module also ensures that the tow vehicle's electrical system is compatible with the trailer's wiring, as well as safeguarding the tow vehicle's electrical system from harmful short circuits and overload situations. Included 4-wire flat connector is compatible with 5, 6 and 7 pole adapters (not included) to fit just about any trailer system. From it's humble origins as a manufacturer of RV stairs and steps in 1964, Tekonsha has evolved to become a trusted name in towing safety. The core product line consists of brake controllers, electrical wiring and trailer brakes. The Tekonsha line has long been trusted by professional towers and weekend warriors for worry-free travel.

Works great
Installed on a 2008 Jeep Liberty, very easy to install. Except the wire that needed to be run from the rear bumper to the battery. It has to be threaded through part of the frame and zip tied to some of the other stuff underneath the vehicle, this was the most time consuming. The wires connected to the taillights we’re easily installed which took about fifteen minutes and that included removing the taillights.

Fits inside the left rear taillight housing.
Lots of fusing around to get it into the tail light housing. I guess the wiring could be longer and better thought out. It does work well. If your not patient, I suggest you have an installer.

Easy trailer lights
The trailer light kit was fairly simple to install. The hardest part is running the power wire from the back to the front. Not easy to do on Jeep Liberty's. Other than the power wire the rest was really easy. I hope that it lasts a good long time.

Everything fits and functions as it should.
The included instructions were good about everything that I had to do at the rear of my vehicle. Rather vague about how to get the power wire from the left rear corner to the battery at the left front corner. This was the only difficult part of the installation as it requires you to lift the vehicle high enough to crawl under it from the front to the back.

Easy To Install
I installed this on my 2008 Jeep Liberty. It took me about 45mins. My only recommendations are to watch a youtube how-to video, and acquire a rather large pair of wire crimpers or channel locks. The wire connections included are rather heavy duty and I struggled to seat them properly with regular sized pliers. I ran the black power cable from the battery through the driver side undercarriage frame and back to the control unit. The package included plenty of zip ties for the job.

Much better then the curt it replaced
went through two curt models and they each lasted about a year, hopefully this one will last longer. installation was simple and worked the first time, will update after a few months of service

Piece of cake!
I own a 2010 Jeep Liberty and had this installed in under 30 minutes with minimal effort. The hardest thing is running the power wire from the battery to the back because you have to hide it and secure it. Otherwise this is great. It's plug and play. There is a YouTube video that shows how to get the back of the Liberty apart for the install of a wiring harness. It's not this particular one but it's the same concept and will help tons if you view it before you start. It's dead on accurate and shows you exactly what to do.
