Things keep getting better
What a great product. I installed on my 1992 Toyota pickup. No wire cutting or splicing like the first towing wire assembly I had installed by uhaul many years ago. Everything was plug and play with all lights working as advertised. I used additional zip ties to secure the wiring to the existing wire bundles and truck frame. As another review stated, I would have preferred a little more length on the driver's side to allow me to mount the terminal block closer to the center of the truck. The terminal has an adhesive back with a self-tapping screw to attach it to the body of the vehicle. I did not have a good place to mount it and be able to use the screw. Instead, I zip tied the wiring on either side to the existing wire bundles so "when" the adhesive fails, the terminal block won't be going anywhere. I then added an inexpensive mount (Tow Ready 118149 4-Flat Universal Mounting Bracket) to my towing hitch to give it a finished look.

This kit fixed my right rear taillight issues with prior Hopkins assy.
I had a Hopkins wiring kit that I installed on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma that would intermittently not work. It worked fine for the firct year then did not work on the right side. The right rear taillight on the trailer would simply not always light up or blink. This P/N 118379 connector kit fixed the issue. Instead of having a single green wire on the right side, it has multiple wires which I think make the difference in reliability. It seems that both sides are being tapped into instead of primarily the left side with the Hopkins which may affect current to the right rear blinker/brake tail light. The kit is simple to install. Most of the time spent is securing the wires and routing them in the best way and using zip ties.

Two starts
Perfect fit for my 2003 Tacoma 2.7l engine, 4X4 SR5 Extended cab. Worked great for about 1.5 yrs, then suddenly caught fire and melted at the terminal block area. see pic. When the short occurred internally in the terminal, it blew fuses for my dash lights, running lights and tail lights. I wasn't using the harness at the time either. I mounted the terminal block as instructed and ensured that there was no wire chaffing anywhere on the chassis of the truck. I've worked with wiring in aircraft for nearly 3 decades so I'm keenly aware of how to route wiring so as to not have future issues. This failure was simply due to poor construction of the component at the manufacture level. I was pulled over by police for no tail lights on my commute to work at 3:30 am, and while discussing the issue with the officer, smoke began to billow out of my tail light area. I missed a day of work and had a major hassle getting back to my truck to repair it. I would not recommend this product, instead i'd recommend paying a premium and getting the Toyota made trailer harness.

So far so good! Went in easy, and did the job like it was supposed to. I’m hoping this doesn’t blow any fuses or cause any issues. I will update this if anything happens. Update: 10/7/20 Still no issues. Update 3/23/2021 Still works great!

Works perfectly. This is definitely the best option to install trailer lights vs splicing into the rear harness. The only thing that i was unsure of was how or what to attach the box thing to but came up with something, as the sticky pad thing is kind of inadequate under the vehicle. 1993 Toyota Pickup DLX 4x4
