Great bag, measurements are odd.

First off, this is a great bag and works perfectly for what I ordered it for. It is going to be a carrying bag for an inflatable dock that rolls up to 42 inches long by 15 inches in diameter. It is a perfect fit. It slides in easily and just barely closes. I thought the giant 50x30 bag would be too large, but those are the dimensions laid out before it is closed... sort of. The actual dimensions laid flat are 49"x28.5". When open, the square bottom measures about 14"x14". The height when closed/full is about 42". When you fill up the bag it is basically cylinder with a square bottom, the diameter of the bag packed full is around 19", maybe more if you stuff if full.

Just as useful as the one uncle Sam had me use, only bigger!

Needed a bag to pack a variety of personal belongings I didn't want movers to take when moving from Las Vegas to SC. Remembered my top loading bag from the army days and how I would load that thing with all sorts of stuff so bought this. Did not disappoint and carried everything I wanted with plenty of room to spare. Threw it up on the roof every morning and strapped it down with 0 issues. Bag stayed closed the whole way and the shorter shoulder strap meant it didn't flap around like crazy driving 80 mph. The handle was a nice touch too as I was able to run my ratchet strap through it for extra peace of mind. No signs of tearing anywhere even after lifting by handle or strap it when it was over 100lbs

Please note: I review items when they are either truly spectacular or miserably disappointing. That being said…this is the bag you want! Laundry, moving, quick-rifle storage, you name it! This bag shows up smelling like gunpowder and hard work. Built tough with quality material, this bag will stand the test-of-time!

Good, sturdy bag, flimsy hook.

The hook to secure the bag doesn't do justice for the sturdy canvas. It breaks easily and it doesn't provide a secure closing for your items. Better buy a sturdy carabiner separately and adap it to the handle!

Perfect to store my boat cover

Keeps my boat cover clean and protected during the season when I am not storing the boat. Handles come in handy since the cover weighs quite a bit
