Cute style, sizing is off

Really cute skirt, I was excited to try it on and wear it to a concert next month! Unfortunately it is a bit baggy where the gap is, and the straps do not stay put. If you try and tie the straps tighter it creates a weird bulge where the slit is. It ends up sitting far lower on my hips than expected. I’m a 28W and purchased a Medium skirt, though I should’ve gotten a small if I had known the fit would be as such. Still plan on wearing it in the future, though I will need to wear a different top instead of a cropped style considering the issues above.

If you have any bit of a booty, this will have a weird gaping effect in the cutout, showing much more than you want.
