Disappointed with this product.

This was actually the second of this type of cash register purchased for my four year old grandson. The first brand broke in approximately six months after purchase. This one was just purchased this April for Easter. It is already broken. The numbers do not work anymore. My grandson has a disability so he really enjoys pushing buttons and seeing the numbers display. These are not cheap toys to purchase but apparently made cheaply! I wouldn’t recommend this toy to anyone.

Awesome register!

So far we are really loving this register, I would definitely say it is durable as my four year old can sometimes be rough on the buttons. I love that it also can be used as a calculator, and that it came with money and changed, so we did not have to purchase that separately. It is perfect for working on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money exchange. Would highly recommend!

Both kiddos couldn’t wait to get their hands on it.

I have a 5 year old and a 22 month old, and when this was delivered they both couldn’t wait to get their hands on it. My five year old thoroughly enjoyed counting the money, immediately started playing shop and has enjoyed role playing “grocery store” with mama. While my 22 month old has enjoyed pressing all the buttons and opening and closing the cash draw, which is great for her fine motor skills. Needless to say this is a fantastic toy for multiple ages. Would make a perfect 1st birthday gift which will then be enjoyed for years more.

cash register that really works as a calculator!

This toy cash register also doubles as a real working calculator. It also comes with all of the play money and even a credit card. As a math teacher, I love that my 3 daughters can practice their math skills while engaging in imaginative play!

Broke after one day, waste of $

My 4 year old received this gift twice, once for Christmas, once for her birthday. First time it broke after one month. Figured was just bad luck or my kids being rough. She asked for new one for birthday and received again. It broke after ONE day (the money it came with got stuck in back and tray no longer closes). I emailed The Learning Journey’s customer service team and they suggested I shake the money out (duh, didn’t work), that I have my child hold it upright, and offered no replacement. Are you freaking kidding me?! I’ve never had a toy break so quickly... and TWICE! Do not waste your money - this product will not last with age group intended for.
