Bee Protected and Bee Cool with the Ultra Breeze Beekeeping Suits and Jackets. The Ultra Breeze is made of three layers of ventilated mesh fabric. The depth of the layers provides outstanding protection against stings while keeping you cool. Other single layer suits trap your body heat and are uncomfortably hot. Single layer suits have a thin barrier against stings, especially when wet from sweat. With the Ultra Breeze, beekeeping is a pleasure not a chore. Easy on and easy off – the Ultra Breeze has 2-way YKK brass zippers on the jacket and suits (up the entire length of the leg), multiple pockets, and a roomy detachable hood designed to keep the veil off your face. Made in America using high quality durable materials and excellent workmanship, the Ultra Breeze is the World’s Best Bee Suit. Sized to fit comfortably, our suits and jackets are machine washable; the hood is hand washable. Sizing is men’s sizing, so women will wear smaller sizes than usual. When selecting a suit, the most important measurement is from the back of the neck (at your shoulders) to the inseam of the pants. The approximate measurements are: X Small (34 inches neck-inseam, 5’ tall, 100lbs), Small (37 inches neck-inseam, 5’5” tall, 130lbs), Medium (37 inches neck- inseam, 5’8” tall, 160lbs), Large (38 inches neck-inseam, 6’+ tall, 210lbs), X Large (40 inches neck-inseam, 6’+ tall, 260lbs) and XX Large (41 inches neck- inseam, 6’+, 290+ lbs). If you fall between sizes, it is best select the larger size to allow for bending and stretching as you work with your bees.

This is a great suit for working the bees.
I love this suit. There's comfort in knowing I won't get stung.

Good sting prevention, but quality has slipped
I have an older Ultra Breeze jacket that I love - I've never been stung through it, it's held up to a lot of abuse, and it's still in very good shape. I ordered this full suit because after many years of keeping bees, I was becoming more sensitive to stings. The fabric is stiffer and less pleasant to wear than the older jacket, and the first time I put my phone in the breast pocket, the corner tore away from the suit. The lower front pockets are flat and because it's a full suit, there's a bit more tension on them, so I'm concerned about them as well since I normally stuff my gloves into them when taking the suit off. It's still a cooler than a non-mesh suit, but I'm disappointed in the fabric and construction.

A great, protective, comfortable suit! Pricey, puny zippers, and confusing sizing, but there is nothing else like it out there.
I bought this suit for my wife; an avid beekeeper who unfortunately has a mild bee sting allergy. She says this is a great bee suit. The open-mesh fabric makes it the most comfortable we have seen, even in hot and humid weather. The integral hood keeps bees out better than a separate helmet and veil. It seems well-made and fits her well. There are two reasons why we can't give the suit five stars. First, as others have commented, the metal zippers are a surprisingly light gauge given how robust the rest of the suit seems. They are also very stiff and need to be lubricated with wax to make them glide easily. Because of this, you have to be especially careful to assure that all of the zippers are fully closed before heading out to the hives. The other reason for four stars has to do with what I felt to be very unhelpful sizing information on the website. The measurements are presumably in inches (no indication), but of what; the person to be wearing the suit or the suit itself? The waist measurement for an XS suit is listed as "44" (and that is an extra small!) My wife is 5'6" and weights 115. Her waist is more than 24 inches smaller than that measurement. Suit sizes go UP from there. I ended up guessing that a Medium would work, which was in fact the case. But again, that was a guess and just dumb luck. When you're spending twice what other suits cost, it would be nice to have better sizing guidance, IMHO.

Good Suit, Veil Damaged
I purchased the Ultra Breeze Beekeeping Suit with Veil after doing extensive research online. I believe it is the best vented suit available but I hesitated to purchase it because of the cost. While $259 may not be a lot of money to some people, it is to me--so I wanted to do my due diligence prior to purchasing. After reading up about the options from other companies, I decided the cost would be worth my comfort. I received the suit today and the size I ordered (small) fit me well. I am 5 ft. 3 in. and weigh around 145 lbs. The suit is great lengthwise in the arms and legs with a bit of bagginess. The tightest place on me was around my hips, but not so tight I can't bend and move easily. The most disappointing thing for me was the veil. There are cuts in the material that covers 3 of the pieces of boning that gives the veil structure. Having spent so much on this suit, I would have expected it to be made correctly. I would exchange it, but it was the last small they had in stock. I wonder if Amazon has any replacement veils...

Great suit
I am a commercial beekeeper. I own 3000 hives and have been beekeeping for 15 years so I have tried MANY different types of gear from hat and veil to cloth suit to the new weathertec material suit. At first I thought this suit wouldn't work for me. I live in LA and it is HOT especially when it's time to pull honey and this suit felt heavy and itchy. But I decided to give it a try anyway. What did I have to lose($250!!) but I thought it was worth the gamble. I'm so glad I did bc this is the best suit ever!! I rarely get stung and omgoodness I can feel every breeze, slight and otherwise, and it's so refreshing. My sweat doesn't pour down my body like in the weathertec I guess it absorbs it. The only drawback I'm having is it's impossible to get it clean when washed. It's pretty bad but it doesn't really matter. The bees don't care lol. And sometimes if I do get stung, the stinger gets thru the suit and and to the skin where it stays till I remove it which sometimes isn't until the end of the day. But it's good to receive bee venom and it doesn't affect me too much. Not nearly as much as the near heat strokes!!

Breezy, but not bee proof.
I'm 5'3" about 125 pounds. The small fits me pretty well, but it hangs rather low in the crotch. I wore a bungee cord for a belt last time, and pulled it up a bit. That helped. I'm considering a pair of suspenders on the outside, but that may smash the fabric too close to my skin, and allow stings. Not sure yet. Btw, this suit is NOT sting proof. I was just stung on the shoulder through the suit. That kind of surprised me. I'll wear something with sleeves underneath next time.

Does the job
these are the best suits available. They are heavy, but you won't get stung if you make sure you're fully sealed up.

Dynamite Suit
No suit will be "cool" during hot, humid weather, yet this one does allow air flow. I can also testify that it works very well in preventing stings from penetrating to your skin. First time I wore it, I had an overly defensive encounter with one of my hives. Many bees went into action to protect the hive, and none of the stings got through. Highly recommend it.
