Lovely shirt but sheer and sizing is odd

Purchased this shirt in white and blue, in Medium and Large. I’m a 10 generally. The large was much too big and the medium fit but the short in front/long in back looked weird on my 5’8” frame. I think if I were an inch shorter or taller, I would have liked the medium sizing better. It just hit at a weird location on my waist - too short to tuck in in the front but not short enough for a good cropped look. The shirts were both beautiful quality but somewhat sheer.
