Great reef-safe, easy-to-apply sunscreen (comparison of three ThinkSport products)
I will start by saying that I am used to traditional non-mineral sunscreens and tend to only buy physical/mineral-based sunscreens when I'm going to be in a tropical ocean and need something reef-safe, though more and more kids sunscreens are shifting to mineral-based. After quite a bit of research I settled on ThinkSport for my family's recent trip to Hawaii, and I'm very pleased with it. I brought and used three types of Thinksport sunscreen: Thinksport Kids lotion (yellow/orange and teal squeeze bottle), Thinksport adult lotion (Black, white, and orange squeeze bottle), and Thinksport adult spray (black, white and orange spray bottle). All protected us from sunburn and rubbed in to be invisible as long as skin was dry and free of visible hair (visible whiteness persisted around my husbands facial stubble and chest hair). The only difference between the kids lotion versus the adult lotion is scent--the kids version has a fruitier, more tropical but not-too-strong scent (possibly coconut and something else? it was hard to identify) that I found unobjectionable (though one if my kids wasn't a fan), and the adult lotion had a lighter, less sweet, more citrus-y scent (my son though maybe lime and mint, but I'm not sure that's accurate) that I LOVE. The adult spray had no discernible scent, so I suspect the kids spray might be fairly unscented as well. The easiest to apply by far was the spray--it sprays on white, but feels very light, rubs in easily, and becomes invisible quickly. I was a little worried about whether it could possibly be effective given how light and thin it felt, but it was! The lotions weren't thick for a lotion (but much thicker than the spray) and went on easily, but took more rubbing in to disappear than the spray (this is consistent with my experience with lotion vs spray in traditional sunscreens as well). Invisibility was harder to get after a second or third application or when skin was damp, but all-in-all I found all three Thinksport products to be superior to other mineral-based sunscreens I have tried in the past. In the future I'll probably buy the adult thinksport spray for my kids and husband (who all much prefer a spray-on sunscreen) and the adult thinksport lotion for myself (because I love the scent and don't mind rubbing it in).

If you have to go Reef Safe, this is the one
We were visiting islands that required reef safe sunscreens. I used this in a 3hr kayak/snorkeling outing. I wasn't able to reapply as suggested, but it still provided enough protection to keep me from getting a significant burn. It is more difficult to apply and spread than conventional sunscreen, and because of the zinc oxide, it does leave a light white caste. But it was comfortable and was one of the few reef safe sunscreens with a 50 SPF rating

Good Reef-Safe Sunscreen
We needed a good, reef-safe, high SPF sunscreen to take with us to Hawaii and this product worked well. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because the consistency is super thick and it does not rub in well, leaving your skin looking especially paste-y white. If you don't mind this look, this is a great product. It protected us well and no one got sunburned. It is a bit expensive, but trust me, a little of this stuff goes a long way.

Worked as intended, but hard to rub in!
Bought this for our cruise to the Caribbean, where we would be diving and snorkeling around reefs and wanted to respect the nature. I also burn VERY quickly and badly and zinc oxide is the best for sun protection. It worked well and I only burned on the days I didn't apply it and when I didn't realize I had sweat it off my chest while laying at the pool (also a sensitive area prone to burn anyway). However, if for whatever reason you really need this to apply easily and even remove easily, you're out of luck. It is THICK and hard to rub in. A little goes a very long way. We ended up looking like ghosts the first time and had to be careful the next time with little dabs and rubbing in, adding more if needed. It is very white and almost dry or grainy feeling (though not in a bothersome way, especially once on). This is not your typical sun cream! The cruise shower was also not very strong so it took scrubbing to feel clean--not too bad but definitely would have been better with more pressure and maybe a better scrubber than cheap shower gel and a washcloth lol. Overall, satisfied!

Nice reef safe suntan lotion
Nice reef safe suntan lotion in a 3oz bottle for for your carry on bag to Hawaii . FYI - all the various reef safe suntan lotions that I tried seemed thick & similar in feel & application. Just remember where you packed it so you do not need to go to local Costco to buy more....

A little goes a long way
We went to Mexico in Jan. and I was in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy so I wanted to find a clean but good sunscreen. Everyone raved about this one which yes it definitely worked and did the job. However, I wish we would have started small and then went big, we started with a lot and then learned by the end of the trip, a little goes a LONG way. It felt like we spent so much time trying to spread it and rub it in but it was tough! It also would leave a very white film on your skin so us pale people looked even paler at the beach. I did find that mixing it with a little bit of tanning oil helped is spread a little easier, but we also never got sunburnt so it really did the job well.

Not bad!
It’s not that bad knowing it gives protection and it’s easy to rub in. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t irritate it (Except a little bit under my chin). Although, the first time I put it on my skin it made my skin look a little more white maybe because I put a lot (I used the two finger method) but I didn’t really mind that since I thought it brightened up my face more once I rubbed it in very well. I think this sunscreen is worth the price since it does give protection but if you don’t like the white cast from sunscreens then I think the tinted version of ThinkSport can be another option. The pictures I put is when I was putting the sunscreen and rubbing it and the last picture is when it’s rubbed in full well.
