Not Even Close to Dog-Proof

Right. So, these are not bad as coasters go, and the price was good, so I ordered two sets, thinking this way I would have enough coasters to go around when family comes over for the Easter holiday. However, they're not what I wanted, and now I am sorry twice, first for having bought them, and second for having ordered two sets, when there was actually still plenty of time for me, as a Prime member, to receive the first set and then decide whether it would be worth having a second set. What I had hoped to receive was a set of mostly stainless steel coasters with just a small amount of rubber backing to prevent them from sliding off the end tables or scratching my woodwork. Had I looked more carefully, I would have seen from the photo here that actually, the coaster is primarily made of rubber, with a very thin sheet of steel on the top. The problem here is that Ox, our over-sized beagle, chews on everything. I had some nice coasters already; he ate them. He hasn't eaten these yet, but as soon as they begin to smell either of human hands or of beverage, he will carry them off when we aren't looking. I've tried putting the coasters up and away, but that defeats the purpose of coasters, which is to be in place for someone to set their drink on. For those without dogs (or with better trained ones), these ought to be all right. The size is sufficiently large to put a large mug on and not worry about it sliding off the edge. They stay in place well. They're easy to wipe clean and don't look bad. But I was looking for dog-proof coasters, and these are not that.

Good and stylish

It looks stylish and different from traditional wood-type coasters. I would recommend that people should try finishing their drinks in timely manner because it will retain water at the bottom and it will sometimes cling to the bottom of the cup when you lift it. Just be cautious. Other than that the water build up does not spill over. But some water stains remain after multiple uses... just have to clean it more thoroughly if you want that gone

Cheap and great look, but stains

These are great little coasters that look high tech. They have a soft padding on the bottom but the top is hard so a hard glass on the hard surface and make an uncomfortable noise sometimes. Also if you have drinks with ice and the cup "sweats" and leaves water on the coaster it will dry into spots on the coaster. They seem to come off with cleaning, but not sure how long they will last after years of doing this. It would be nice if there was a coating applied on them to prevent moisture and staining.

Silver Satin Finish

It's nice having a holder for coasters. These are lightweight and have an appealing finish. The backing works perfectly. Glasses do leave residue on them, but I use water and wipe with a towel.

Pretty cool item

If you're looking for a classy coaster, you've got it. I was a little hesitant about this purchase, but it turned out fine. Not perfect, but fine. The water does stay on the coaster for a long period of time. However, I have not experienced drips or overflows onto my desk. I think it depends on the amount of ice you like to put in your drinks. I prefer my ice crushed so it doesn't take much to cool the drink, therefore, not a lot of drips to begin with. I give it 4 stars because although the design looks legit, it feels rough on the top. It's not entirely smoothed out and it makes a pretty bad sound if you like to scrape your glass cup instead of placing it nicely on the coaster. Otherwise, it works. Not perfectly, but it's good. Matches my desk so I'm happy. Beats using a tissue or a cd as my coaster.

Looks great, but sharp

I like clean and modern looks. I got this since it is very sleek and modern looking. It does the job of protecting my furniture. it also does not lift up when I pick up my glass which is nice. My only complaint is that these are sharp. So if you fidget with stuff, don't play with this as this will cut you :(. Otherwise it is great and does the job. This was cheapest buy for metal ones I could find

Shipping packaging allows damage to the coaster holder

Great coasters, but packaging allows damage to the holder. Should be shipped in a box instead. My holder is bent!!!!!

Fair product but requires maintenance

I like the simple design of these but they are an exact fit for the holder so it takes a moment sometimes to get one out and even to get one back. That's not ideal! They also show water marks and fingerprints so they need wiped each use. I wish I'd gone with another product.

Looks great! Sticky though

They are easy to clean and very nice looking. Adds to the aesthetic of any dining room or living room. Annoying that most cups, ugs and glasses stick to it and it often raises with your glass, falling onto your lap. Great otherwise.

Coasters arrived on time and well packaged. I love these coasters, they look great, good quality, easy to clean and don't break if they fall on the floor. I have purchased 2 of these sets now and I'm glad I did.
