LARGE but well loved
This thing is massive. It takes up a lot of space, but this is my train loving kid's favorite toy. My two year old can operate the whole thing on his own after I showed him a couple times. I would say it is annoying that you have to manually moves the bridge over every time for the train to be able to continue on the track each time it comes around, but this seems to be my kid's favorite thing about the toy. The motorized train that comes with it seems to hold up well. Depending on how frequently the train is used, I would say the battery life could be better. Ours needed replaced after one month, but it also gets daily use. Overall, if you have the space and a kid who loves trains, it is worth it (I also got it on sale for around $50). You can buy additional trains and tracks that can make the set even bigger.

A MOUNTAIN SIZE PLAYSET
This playset arrived on schedule and was packaged to withstand most bumps during transit. There was no damage. It is a heavy carton. But I wanted to pass along my two cents - in case it helps someone who has decided yet to purchase it. Size: Forget measurements: Take a good look at your couch. The playset is about or is as high as the back of your couch. The width: If you have wide cushions on your couch, then you have a good idea of how wide this playset is. Depth: AGAIN, use the cushion on your couch to image the depth. In short, the finished piece takes up a bit of room, but It is easy to move after its built. Construction: The instructions-all 25 steps, are easy to follow. The first dozen or so calls on you to attach small Philips screws which hold the base together. There are 19 screws-this takes the most time. Assume it will take an hour or so if you are doing this part manually. Note they usually give you one extra screw. Once the base is screwed together, the rest snaps into place. Oh, be sure to attach the decals before assembly. Playing. Once you put the batteries (purchase separately) in the engine. Test out the playset. You will notice two things. No drawbacks-just something to keep in mind. First: The bridge is only long enough for an engine and one other car or attachment. I mention this because many Thomas engines have two or three additional cars attached to the engine. While these will run on the track- you may have a problem with the hand-operated swing bridge. You WILL have an issue at the base-unless you have another set of tracks attached -so the train can travel that instead of continuing up the other side of the tower. Again, I mention this because my grandson's trains have at least three cars attached to the engine most of the time. Price: I have seen this playset priced at $100.00. I paid less here and I noticed that it is currently $5.00 cheaper than what I paid a short time ago. Value: My grandson's eyes grew bigger than the playset when he first saw it. He likes it and we of course added a few our the older sets we have to it. So it takes up most of our family room floor. The whole point of this review is to point out the size of this playset. The fact that the train goes up and down and around the tracks automatically is nice. There are release levers on the two main curves that stop the train so the person playing, has time to adjust the bridge above or the roundhouse bridge below by hand. Then a flip of the switch and the train moves on down the track.

Big
My grandson loves this. At 3 he caught on pretty quickly how to operate it. It’s sturdy but does take up a bit of room. I knew that when I ordered it. The trains do tend to get hung up off and on but in all it’s nice and a good buy for the money.

Cool toy
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I wanted something to hold his attention and allow him to use his imagination. It came with a set of trains but he started integrating other toys. He loves this!

It’s awesome!
I wish I could figure out how to rate fedex on the delivery, because they were simply fantastic! Very kind and very helpful! Now onto the product- It’s pretty big! It’s about half the size of our three cushion couch. It’s super cool. My toddler loves it! We also have a little tikes trampoline and if I put this train set on it, it goes over the edges just about an inch (including weird measurements because that makes it easier for me to see how it’ll fit in my space ????). It was very easy to assemble. It has a few screws but it’s mostly click together. Sturdy. We are so happy to finally have this!

My Son Loves It!!!
Tall and big. My son loves playing with it . I would buy a few more battery powered trains. I bought the mini pack that was recommended. Do not waste your money on it. The mini pack does not go with the train set at all.

Big but really really fun
Bought for my nephew who didn’t stop playing with it all Christmas. Its not the smallest so be prepared! Its robust enough & the packaging is smart.

Best on the market!
This is an amazing toy. Received it today and couldn't be happier. My 2 and 3 year old are overjoyed. Very sturdy, I don't see my youngest being able to destroy it easily. It took only 20 min and a screwdriver to assemble. I think it's a bit pricey, could have been $20 cheaper but I have bought a few train sets and this is by far the best. I recommend completely.
