Not what they used to be.
I bought Thorlos Trekking crew socks for years and enjoyed their fit and great padding, construction and wear during many hiking ventures. These socks they are selling now under the same brand name and type pale in comparison to their past product. These are thinner, sized smaller and besides they shrunk when I washed them in cold water and air dried. It took me a month or six weeks before I needed to use them and got to know how different they are and by that time it was too late to return them. Rather they were gifted to Father Dempsey's. Obviously, I do not recommend buying this product.

Best socks ever
These are amazing thick socks. They keep my feet comfortable and they last a long time. I can’t say enough great things about them.

Sox Are Same Old Light Gray--Not the Darker Shade Shown on Amazon
After looking around the Amazon site, it seemed like Thorlo had come out with a darker gray color, and the image of these sox for Amazon Prime showed the uppers (at least) being darker gray. So I thought I'd chime in to say that these are the same-as-always light gray (sort of off white) color--nothing new. The fit and finish are the same high Thorlo quality. though. A less obtrusive gray would actually be nice, if Thorlo is listening...

Excellent socks for the trail
I bought my first pair of Thor-Lo Trekkers in the early 1990's. Of the five pairs I bought at the outlet store that day one is still actually in service, and the others were tossed very regretfully after losing their heel mojo. After over 20 years of hard use. What other hiking sock would last that long and provide such great cushioning exactly where it's needed? None that I know of.

Not what they were
Look good, nice cushioning for feet. Run a bit small but shrink when washed in warm. After 3 or 4 washings, a size smaller, threads come loose so must force foot into sock to break them. Not worth the money.

Wonderful winter hiking socks.
Not really much to say negative about these at all. They are light for a heavier wool blended sock and they fit well and can handle extremely long hikes, though, I like to bring a few pairs with in case they get too wet. Solid construction. These are first class socks. Just remember these are more for serious hiking and are pretty decently sized. Look at their other pairs for lighter socks with still great padding and build. I use these in Winter only.

Best heavy duty sock ever.
If you are a wildland fire fighter. These are the very best. I've been wearing them since 1996. Indestructible. Comfortable for multiple days.
