Good Value, Well-Made and Designed To Last
We looked at Solo, Breeo and others before purchasing a Tiki fire pit, and we're very pleased with our purchase. It's a solid product, designed to last and to provide warm, inviting fires with minimal smoke, particularly when fueled with Tiki wood pellet bags. The fire bowl and other heated components are heavy-gauge stainless steel, and the outer frame is heavy-gauge powder-coated steel (the matching legs are powder-coated aluminum). The 16" diameter fire bowl is a little small to accommodate standard firewood, so you stack your logs on end with their tops protruding above the rim until they burn down. Ordinary stove pellets are made of compressed sawdust and other local wood by-products and can be purchased in bulk at local hardware stores for ~$6 per large 40-lb bag. Smaller, more expensive bags of specialty pellets are sold for use in outdoor pellet smokers. The 8-lb Tiki pellet bags contain just enough accelerant to ensure that the pellets light quickly and burn efficiently for about 30 minutes (something like "Match-Light" charcoal briquettes). They are great when you want a quick, no-fuss fire that's reliable and clean-burning with minimal smoke. The photo showing 36" flames above the fire pit rim are surprisingly representative of what you can expect between 5 and 20 minutes, perhaps longer. These convenient Tiki pellet bags are heavy paper with a thin impermeable lining that keeps the pellets dry and ready to burn, you simply light the 4 corners and the bags quickly burn up along with the pellets they contain. Tiki also sells smaller 1-lb "Fire Starter" pellet bags that can be used to light ordinary stove pellets or seasoned firewood. You can also use ethanol fire-starter gel or BBQ grill lighter fluid to help light stove pellets. It's easy to add more pellets into the fire pit with a metal scoop as the fire dies down. Ideally, seasoned firewood should be cut 14" or shorter to fit safely inside the Tiki's 16" diameter fire bowl. Most firewood is longer than 16" and will protrude above the top rim of the fire pit, requiring constant attention and producing unwanted smoke (some will prefer this "natural" fire). Firewood can be stacked leaning inwards around the fire pit's center cone, or the cone can be removed to uncover more bottom ventilation holes and provide more space for firewood logs.

Easy to use, looks great, no smoke
Perfect for a small patio area. Easy cleanup, and there’s no annoying smoke. Highly recommend

Great Firepit but Beware!
Excellent fire pit and is virtually smokeless. Looks great on my patio. Beware however of the firepack. It is way too much for the pit and would be better at half the size. Also leave a lot of ash. So will not buy it again but the pit is as good as advertised.

expensive but great(ish)
First off this firepit is great! Second I realize that it is certainly a luxury item to buy a 350 dollar firepit. For those of you that have that kind of expendable income read on. I decided I wanted to upgrade from my circle hole in the ground firepit this fall. I like having a fire but my girls complain about the smoke (and really only like fires for the smores portion). I like to sit and watch a fire - its relaxing and its a nice social activity with friends and family. Anyway I bought this firepit and haven't looked back. Its a great size, big enough to hold a decent junk of wood but still small enough you can move it around the yard or even take it on a trip if needed. One of the reasons I bought this one vs the Solo stove that is comparable (and a bit cheaper) was the size. The build quality seems very solid. The only issue I had was the legs of the unit need to be bolted in and the holes didn't line up well in that the top sits on the 3 little bolts vs actually sitting on the legs for weight. we will see how long that lasts but even unbolted its just two pieces. The burning quality is really reason why one would buy one of these engineered firepits. What I mean by engineered is it has holes engineered for a very hot thus efficient burn. It does seem to burn wood extra hot and definitely less smoke. Tiki has a wood pellet subscription service that they offer where you can buy individual bags of wood pellets (infused with lighter fluid) for a 30-40min burn. The pit comes with one bag and I was really impressed by the ease of use and quality of the fire; very hot and tall fire and really no smoke with these pellets. I love a good fire but I can't seem to justify a wood pellet subscription (although people spend more than 8 dollars for 40min of entertainment all the time). So I have taken to finding wood pellets at a local hardware store. These are pellets for wood burning stoves, not the smoking pellets for smokers. These work great other than they are a little tricky to get started (and refilled) but the fire from these pellets are really great. no smoke, high burn and of course smores or as my girls call them- marshmallow sandwiches. So in review I love this firepit. It seems like if you keep it clean (i clean the ash out usually the next day after its completely cooled) and use the cover to keep it from getting wet it will last a long time. We have already had some great fire nights and will look forward to many more. Update: a yr after purchase the bottom of the pit (the part you can see) rusted out. Basically it rusted enough that it broke the weld holding that piece up. I contacted tiki-sent them pics and they quickly replaced it under warranty. Just finished one year with replacement and it seems to be doing fine. ???? It does have some superficial rust. I put the cover on the thing but sometimes it rains before you can put the cover on (have to let it cool down). Still loving the fire pit though overall. 2nd update: after another year the bottom of the replacement weld has warped and broken. I contacted tiki and they were nice enough to send another (now 3rd). Not sure what to say. Engineering is great (smokeless) but the build quality is lacking. I really enjoy the firepit but its fallen apart now twice after a year (not used in the winters). Not sure how many more tiki will send me.

Easy to assemble, easy to fire up. We use wood and the recommended bag pallets. The heat output is excellent.
