Big! And very easy to read

I have been wearing digital watches for decades. When my last one died after trying to replace a battery, I realized that analog watches are more useful for taking quick glances. I'm not timing rocket launches -- I just need to know how much time is left before something happens, for instance, and people of my generation grew up with our brains wired for analog read-outs. This watch is BIG, but I'm big, too. It really is easy to read and I like the fact that I can hear it tick when I hold it to my ear. It takes me back to my grandmother's kitchen...

I really enjoy the size of the watch

The watch arrived earlier than expected. The product description is what I received. I have only taken it off to sleep. I really enjoy the size of the watch, the 38 & 35 mm Timex watches are too small for my liking. Generally when I purchase a watch I have to remove links, this watch in the third hole from the end, if you have larger wrists the band may not work for you though the watches dial may be just the right size. When the watch arrived, I set the time with https://time.is/Chicago and the time hasn't drifted a second since. Some folks have mentioned the tick-tock is loud, it's nearly as loud as a traditional manual wind watch. Frankly I find it refreshing and have missed the tick-tock since watches began using batteries. Some folks mentioned the Indiglo around the number 6 doesn't fully illuminate, I can easily see the time in the dark, the part is around the outer dial that's not fully illuminated. Some folks mentioned the back doesn't state stainless steel. Please see my attached images. My history with watches. I received my first watch(Mickey Mouse silver tone) when I was 7 or 8 years old. After that I bought a Timex LCQ digital watch(well before the time of home computers), which I preferred over the LCD digital watches. The Timex LCQ watch sat at the bottom of a deep lake for nearly a month until it was recovered, and worked as expected). Following that watch I typically bought higher end traditional looking watches until the first Timex Ironman with Indiglo. Later I purchased one of the original heart rate monitor watches, again digital. I wore a traditional looking watch for decades to follow. Christmas last year I received clothes from a store that I don't normally wear, I returned them and exchanged them for another traditional looking watch, I purchased this Timex because I damaged the crystal only months after wearing it, I must have banged the corner of a counter or something, then while swinging my grandson the face hung up on the swing's chain then popped the band off on one side. I have to send it in for repairs and instead of installing a battery on an older watch and since nothing lights up like Indiglo, I decided to purchase this watch. I'm extremely happy with the watch my only comment is the seconds hand is off just a bit, meaning it isn't directly over each tick around the dial all the time. Other than that I have no other concern. I've only taken the watch off to sleep. I really enjoy having the Indiglo again. I own a Fitbit, wore it until it looked ragged, about 1 year, the replacement they sent me has never been worn, unsure what I'll do with it. I've heard friends much younger than me say watches are just for show, after all, everyone has a smart phone, why would anybody waste money on a watch unless it was to impress. I enjoy wearing a watch and miss it when I'm not wearing one. The higher end watches require cleanings and other upkeep, generally a jeweler or manufacturer has to replace the batteries to not void the water proofing warranty of the watch, all of which takes time to send out/receive, I know where I look for the time, all the time, my left wrist and I'm extremely happy day or night looking at my new Timex.

A very versatile watch!

Would happily give it a 5 star, however it doesn't have a date function, and to me, that's a really handy feature about a watch. The watch looks amazing in real life, it's so incredibly light, I forget I'm wearing it. This watch goes with any outfit, I bought the black face one, and I've worn this with a suit and a t-shirt and jeans, and the watch fits both styles perfectly. It's a very versatile watch and looks so good! I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

Nice clear dial

Hubby wanted a work watch with a good sized numerical markings and this certainly fits the bill. It has a clear face and the white on black makes it easy to read. It's not too big either and fits comfotably on his wrist. A good timekeeper this watch is exactly right for anyone who quickly wants to be able to see the time ad having the Timex brand name we know it will be in working order for quite sometime to come. I was impressed with the reasonable price and the fast delivery of this item, especially as hubby had broken his watc and was waiting for this one to arrive.

Ideal present for elderly.

Bought as a gift for an elderly family member who's eyes aren't the best and he loves it and appreciates the illumination function in poor light. Only downsides I noticed was the tick can be a tad in the loud side in a quiet room at night, and could do with a date function, but that nit picking, overall a lovely watch.

Accurate and easy to read, but also looks 'classic'.

Bought this a few years ago when I needed a watch I could read at night. Pleased to say that it is still a very accurate time keeper and the the back-lighting function allows me to see time in the dark. It also looks good with formal dress. Overall, this is a real bargain at the price.

Lights the way

Great watch with simple unfussy stylish face. The indiglo backlit face is a unique feature and is bright enough to light up the room at night which allows me to get round the bedroom in the morning without waking my beloved wife !!! Would give it five stars but for a men's watch the strap is short i would class myself as average size and build but i have-to have the strap on the last hole and it only just slips into the loop at the back of the buckle but don't let this put you off its excellent quality great value for money .
