Appears to be well made, a little large for dash panel work for me.
Appears to be well made for the price, a little large for dash panel work for me. I returned this test light for a mini test light that suited my needs better. I would not hesitate buying this light if room isn't an issue.

Draws 275mA
When this item arrived, I was pretty unhappy with Amazon. The blister packaging looked like it was run over by a truck. Way more than just one time, too. Based on the appearance of the packaging, I guessed the item was used, but when I finally got the light out of the package, there was not a scratch on it and it appeared brand new. So I kept it instead of sending it back. This test light has a very nice flexible cord, and it also has the old style clamp that looks like it could be on a car or motorcycle battery charger. I like that style of clamp because I find it easy to attach and it really tends to stay put. When I hook the light up in series with an ammeter, the light draws 275 milliamps with the supplied bulb across a freshly charged 12 volt car battery. That makes this light useful for things like testing and energizing relays or small solenoids, which is nice. It also means that you'd probably want something with a lower current draw if you're primarily working with computer circuits. Something under 180 milliamps would be better for that sort of work, and under 100 milliamps would be even better. Just to make sure you don't let that magic smoke out of your expensive computerized components.

Excellnt
I ordered this unit because I wanted the exact unit that I had for many years, then it broke when I stepped on it. Seller had the same unit, I received exactly what was advertised. Excellent service. Great product. Now, if I can just not step on it again. Ed

This is the one to buy if you want a easy to use test lite that the cord does not get tangled or clip is hard to attach to body
I love the flexible cord and also the wire clip for ground which is much more convenient then the stiff cord or alligator type clamps. Actually replaced another choice purchased as the "cord" is too stiff for my liking with the other one but this one is perfect choice for me!

Did not work
Product came and it did not work, package looked like it was 25 years old. Amazon refunded money with no problem. Because of the age of the product I can not recomend.
