I love these spatulas.

A little pricier than more cheaply made spatulas, but they last and perform wonderfully. They don't scratch non-stick pans, have just the right curve on them to squeegee the sides of pans, and have just enough of a spoon shape to take a sample or more stuff around.

Packaging sucks. Spoon itself great.

I love Tovolo and prefer this brand for all my mixing spoon needs HOWEVER I was unhappy with how it was packaged. The hard paper label was wrapped in a way that it was attached between where the silicone and metal handle meet. When removing the label it tore in a way that a ring of thick paper was stuck between there. It took an hour of going at it with scissors and partially damaging the silicone to finally dislodge it. I don’t know what Tovolo was thinking applying a product label that way.

Very awkward if you're not right-handed.

It has a hefty handle and cleaning it is pretty easy. My major issue with this is that it is made for people that have far more dexterity and strength in their right hand than I do. So I would like it if there was a model for lefties however my roommate who does most of the cooking likes it other than they wish it had a bit more curve to scoop things out.

Just what I needed

I didn't know that a spoonula existed until I was perusing the Magnolia Table kitchen accessories web page. Joanna Gaines was selling one like this for a dollar cheaper, but with Amazon I get Prime shipping. My regular spatula is too big to really use with my blender container, but this one is just the right size. I do agree with some of the reviews that the packaging is unnecessarily difficult to entirely remove. With some fussing I got all of it removed.

It's a bird, it's a spatula, it's a spoon! Which is it?

It's good. I'm still looking for the "It's GREAT!!" spatula/scooper. On this one, the head does not come off, so there is a serious potential for food to get between the handle and the blade, which, if you are like most people, kinda weirds you out. Then the blade itself is stiffer than it needs to be. It makes it effective as a SPOON, not so effective as a scaper spatula. I would give it props for being a decent compromise. Jack of all trades, Master of none - I think that applies to this. I think the whole Flex-Core is bordering on BS, since there is nothing that flexes...at all.

Very sturdy, you need more than one of these!

Easy to use, very sturdy! My favorite is to use this scraping peanut butter from the big containers ( the big family size you get from the wholesale stores ) keeps you from covering your hand in a mess of PB. Also great for scraping the batter into a bowl.

Lefties Beware

Unlike most of my other kitchen utensils, this feels like a "real tool" more than just a normal plastic kitchen utensil. The weight and diameter of the handle is spot on, and the balance of rigidity and flex from the head is just right as well. The $12ish price seems appropriate. HOWEVER, the shape of the head of the spoonula is definitely shaped for right-handers. As a lefty, it feels more natural to use the right edge of the spoonula for scraping, when the taper of the head is really designed to be used with the left edge leading. It still works fine for me, but it's noticeably better (though awkward) when I use it in my right hand.
