Unusable…collar can’t fit over the bush

For a Trend product this is deplorable…do Trend not actually try (QA) their own products? I can not press the collar onto the bushing…it is fractionally too small. The size stamped on the collar states 7.9 mm (caliper check= 7.82 ) The size stamped on the bushing plate states 7.93 mm (caliper check= 7.96 ) So even the parts themselves indicate the collar is too small and by my vernier calipers the mismatch is 0.14mm - You’d need a vice to force fit that! (And then it wouldn’t come off)….Yet Trend never checked that??? Oh and BTW Trend…an extra demerit point…the countersunk M5 screws do not fit flush in the bush plate and can potentially scratch the work piece surface….fixable, but irritating. At almost £30 this is all very disappointing. This is why QA needs to be a continual process…Trend! . I could send it back for a refund/replacement…but there is no guarantee a new one would be any better…or I could machine the fit of the guide bush myself and at least know it was correct. Which ever I choose, the point is I shouldn't have to and it wastes time. . This annoyance will not put me off the brand which has generally been excellent in my experience.

Realizzazione fuori tolleranza. Inutilizzabile.

La boccola grande non si inserisce nella boccola piccola. I due diametri sono interferenti. Il kit non può essere utilizzato. AGGIORNAMENTO: anziché optare per la restituzione ho deciso di tentare il ripristino. il kit è stato ripassato al tornio ed adattato alla basetta piccola della fresa Makita rt0700. Il prossimo passo: realizzare una suola di soli 2mm di spessore adatta a questo kit. La guida, infatti, sporge di soli 5mm e non fuoriesce dalla suola originale della fresa.
