A little rough

I bought this for a family member and she wanted this particular color. I didn't think these would be super soft given the thread count and that was the case. If you don't mind a duvet cover that is a bit rough, this will suit you. I wouldn't have kept this for my own use.

TLDR: You get what you pay for. Buy another brand for $40 more and get a good nights sleep. I saw other positive reviews and decided maybe....just maaaaybe...this was a solid deal for a quality product. I do admit that the cotton feels thick and resembles "quality cotton". My issue is the the seams on the entire duvet cover, it seems to have either a thin paper (possibly tulle fabric) in between the seam edges or nylon split threads. This correlates to a thin paper cut somewhere on my body almost every night from the edges of the entire duvet cover (aside from the side with the buttons). So sure it looks good. But the edges are very rough and cause small cuts and scratches every night. Maybe you sleep in an entire nightgown, therefore this wouldn't bother you. Probably TMI...but if you sleep in the nude...this definitely isn't for you. Maybe it's better off in the rarely used guest bedroom....naaaaah I wouldn't do that to my guests.

a little disappointing

These were not the brightest white, and there is a subtle sateen quality to the weave rather than a true percale. They were okay after washing, but somewhat disappointing. I was looking for a dryer hand, heavier cotton. I'm okay with this, but it's far from delightful.

Excellent Quality at a Reasonable Price

I ordered this set (duvet cover and two pillowcases) in ivory. The color is perfect, exactly what I wanted for the room. But I was most impressed by the quality of the cotton. Right out of the package, it felt nice and soft. After its first washing, it definitely wrinkled a bit and, if I were a bit more ambitious, I'd have given it a quick iron. But I didn't, and it seemed to smooth out a lot more once it was on the bed. I can tell that it's going to get softer and softer the more it's laundered - but it still has a crisp, fresh look and feel. For such a low price, I was really impressed with the overall quality of this product. I also should note that it was a bit larger than my Queen-size duvet, but I don't think I've ever found a store-bought cover that fit this particular duvet, and I've learned how to disguise the excess fabric.The pillowcases are a standard size - don't expect them to come even close to fitting a king-size pillow. All in all, I'm very pleased!

Tore after 2 weeks.

I liked this but was shocked when I saw that the fabric had already tore at the button hole after only 2 weeks. That is unacceptable for this kind of item let alone at this price. Also, it doesn't have corner ties so the insert tends to shift a bit and clump up inside.

Very soft percale weave.

This duvet cover was a remarkably low price when i purchased. No wonder, i was sent the sheet set. They exchanged that for the duvet cover at the same price, though, so i did finally receive the correct item at a third of what it usually costs. It's really soft and hugh quality. We love it. I bought the King/California king size and it's big enough for my oversized king wool blanket (recently bought the poyet motte king size wool blanket ) which is a little itchy on the top where there was no flat sheet. The duvet cover works perfectly, even though I'm not actually using a comforter in the summer. Very happy with it and the shams which have a side opening rather than the middle opening. I like that a lot, too.

Disgusting color in real life.

These are seriously the ugliest sheets I have ever seen. The photo here makes it look a limey-grassy green, but in reality it's faded yellowish pea soup. It's really bad. I would have just returned them but I really needed them for a house guest. Such a disappointment and such false advertisement!
