Hours of fun for the whole family (and friends)!
I really hesitated purchasing because of the negative reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised and really enjoy this game. We were going out of town and I wanted my 8-year-old daughter and her 10-year-old friend to have something new and fun to do on our trip. It was a HIT! I would say if your children are rough or not inclined to take care of their toys it could be an issue as it is a bit flimsy as far as construction. This is not an issue for us because we have taught our daughter to be very careful with her toys and to respect the things in her possession. We don't have issues with writing in books, missing pieces, damaged toys, etc. All of that to say, the construction has not been a problem for us but I could see how it would be for a child that isn't careful. We love the various ways to play and that it's a pretty fast game which means my daughter loves it over the traditional Trouble that we have. That game can go on and on and on but this one we can play a few times without it taking forever. There are fun exceptions and rules that the traditional Trouble doesn't have which makes it more interesting for younger children. For reference my daughter is 8 and her 10 year old friends also love it. I did find it a bit pricy compared to how well made it is.

A spin on a classic.
For whatever reason the kids are really into Bluey, so crossover merchandising was an eventuality. On offer is a game night staple, Trouble, decked out in now familiar Bluey trappings with some optional rule alterations to boot. The design of the game, and its physical design are dead simple and easy even for small children. The optional rules revolve around landing on specially marked spaces that produce a limited number of effects like lose a turn, or all other player move from home. This inclusion adds the ability to create some more interesting gameplay for older children. For us the nicest touch was the modeling of the dog characters on the players pieces as opposed to the classic solid color cylinders of old. If you children are into the cartoon and you are in the market for this game, I would say go for it.

Great theme, cheap components
We own a lot of board and card games, and the box for this game was easily the most cheaply made box of any board game we own. It is the quality of the box used for Uno cards and was already falling apart upon arrival. The bottom of the board is not covered, so be sure you don't set it anywhere that may be damp or dirty, because it's just cardstock on bottom. Aside from that, we bought it because it is Bluey, and is a great step up from the original trouble game in that sense. I would have preferred to pay a little extra and have it be better quality though so it would last longer. Although it was already probably too expensive for the current quality. The game itself is fun, though it can lend itself to ornery kids with how often the characters can get bumped back to the home space or be forced to skip a turn with the new rules specific to this edition. If that is an issue, you could always impose house rules though. I'd still choose this over the original game.

Fun for all ages
Product says 5+ and seems about right. A little younger can probably do it, it not less than 4. Board and pieces are sturdy enough for the price. Popper needs a little elbow grease to push but not impossible for little kids. I like the product comes with very little waste. Just the board, directions, and a paper bag with the pieces. Only issue is the box won't store this very well. All the pieces will be loose. Overall good for the value.
